A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Position Overview

Under the broad direction of the General Counsel and working closely with a Deputy General Counsel and other staff in the University Legal Office, provide significant legal advice and carry out tasks of a legal nature.

The scope of the legal work undertaken by the University Legal Office includes research and commercial contracts, information technology agreements and advice, public law advice, litigation, dispute resolution, and compliance matters within the University framework and higher education sector. Your duties will include the provision of legal advice to the University across a broad range of matters, including on legal implications of policy proposals. 	Demonstrated supervision experience across Honours, Masters, and Higher Degree by Research students, with evidence of successful and timely completions.

	Demonstrated leadership in learning and teaching activities, including program convening, course coordination, curriculum development, and academic mentoring across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Research Officer in the School of Chinese Medicine (Ref.:537120), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Chinese Medicine or related disciplines with at least 5 years’ of relevant experience in clinical trial studies, with preferable HK registered Chinese medicine practitioners (RCMPs); (ii) proven capacity in research, with a good track record of high-quality publications in the field of Chinese Medicine; and (iii) demonstrated experience in ethics application, study design, and protocol preparation. Applicants with experience in conducting clinical trials or in implementation of community research projects would have an advantage. Applicants should be able to work effectively both independently and in collaboration across teams to advance research initiatives. They should also be meticulous and have demonstrated ability to manage a research team to achieve project objectives.

The appointees will be responsible for co-ordinating clinical trial studies for all Principal Investigators in the School. He/She is expected to perform other duties as assigned.
