PR and Marketing Specialist for the CREATIC Center of Excellence CREATIC (with working hours 34-40 per week) The Centre of Excellence CREATIC of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno, was established on 1 January 2024 and focused on research and development of cell and gene therapy for selected rare diseases. We cooperate with the Fraunhofer Institute IZI (Germany), the University of Leipzig (Germany) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). The establishment of the centre will be supported by the prestigious European grant Teaming for Excellence and a grant from the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports for the next 5 years. We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Earth Sciences at Durham University to appoint an Assistant or Associate Professor (Research and Education) in Earth Sciences to help strengthen our existing international teaching, research and impact. You will spend up to 180 days a year delivering undergraduate courses in teaching blocks at our new overseas partnership in China. With us, you will have a key role in strengthening researchers’ ability to attract external funding, run successful projects, and generate societal impact from research results. About the role As Head of the department, you will be responsible for building and leading JU’s research support. The department works closely with researchers and leadership and provides support throughout the entire research process – from idea and application to implementation, follow-up, and impact. You will lead a team of highly qualified staff, several of whom have a research background, and you will be responsible for operations, personnel, and budget. The role includes developing effective processes, identifying new opportunities for research funding, and contributing strategically to JU’s research development.
