Jember University is in the Indonesian province of East Java.
The university was established in 1987 as a polytechnic university by the Indonesian government. In the following years, it was upgraded to a full university status.
The university has four campuses in Jember, Bondowoso, Lumajang and Pasuruan.
There are 18 faculties and programmes at the university including mathematics, pharmacy, technology, computer science, and social sciences and politics among others. The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Facilities for students include lecture buildings with hybrid lecture capabilities, libraries, laboratories, student housing, banking services, medical centre and sports facilities.
