Although it was founded in 1946, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTU Anantapur or JNTUA) was a constituent college until 1972, when the Jawarharlal Nehru Technological University Act set it up. It was granted autonomous status in 2008.

After JNTU Kakinada in Andhrapradesh, it is one of the best engineering colleges in the region.

Comprising four constituent colleges and a research institute, JNTU Anantapur also recently gained a new examination block and auditorium. There is the JNTUA College of Engineering, based in Ananthapuramu, the College of Engineering, based in Pulivendula, a second College of Engineering, based in Kalikiri and finally the JNTUA Oil Technological and Pharmaceutical Research Institute (OTPRI), based in Ananthapuramu.

Based in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, the campus covers 155 acres.

Anantapur is a city in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, located 356km from Hyderabad and 484km from Vijayawanda. It was an important position for strategics for the British Indian Army in World War Two. Telugu is the most widely spoken language, and the region’s official language. Urdu, Kannada and English are also spoken in the region.

It is an important educational centre for the district, which is home to many schools, universities and colleges. Besides JNTU Anantapur, there is the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Sri Sathya Sai University, the Government Medical College and Arts College.

Your working environment: As a postdoctoral research assistant at the Department of Romance Studies, you will collaborate in research and teaching as part of Prof. Dr. Judith Frömmer’s team. Our research focuses on French and Italian literature and media studies, with a historical emphasis on the Early Modern Period and Early Modernity and systematic focuses in the field of political theory and semantics, historical narrative research, and inter- and transmedial phenomena. Current research projects are dedicated to Machiavelli, the translation of early modern love poetry, and the poetics of minor characters. Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities along with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive, public university in the state of New Jersey that is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. WKU sits on approximately 500 beautiful acres and currently enrolls about 5,200 undergraduate and graduate students, and it is now in the midst of a rapid growth that will bring enrollment to 7,000 students within the next three years. All instruction is in English, and all curriculum is provided by Kean University. In addition to its current 18 undergraduate programs, WKU has been approved by the Ministry of Education to offer 8 Master’s and 3 doctoral programs. About the Job: The College of Science, Mathematics and Technology is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Department of Natural Sciences at WKU. All faculty positions are full-time assignments, effective at the start of the 2026 Spring or Fall semester. These positions are full-time assignments, appointed on a 3-year contract initially, and are renewable upon a successful review of reappointment. A Lecturer is a full-time employee who teaches 30 credits per year (10-month contract) or 39 credits per year (11-month contract) and provides student and learning support services during the assigned period. Lecturers normally teach up to 3 different courses, with each section typically consisting of 22-28 students. Lecturers will be expected to provide high-quality teaching, student advisement, and learning support services, as well as service to the university, college, school, program, and/or the professional community, and perform related work as required. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, and weekend classes, depending on institutional needs. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. All faculty are required to teach General Education courses as needed. Opportunities are also available to teach interdisciplinary support courses. Faculty positions at WKU offer: $66,000-$72,000 for 11-month Lecturers. A well-rounded healthcare coverage, housing options and subsidy up to $3,000, home traveling up to $6,000 (2 international round-trip airfares), a reimbursement to cover relocation expenses up to $1,000 and a shuttle bus to campus for work. (pro-rata) Location: Yolngu – Nhulunbuy View Position Description Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory.  We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health. Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. About the Role The Senior Lecturer in Remote Medicine will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the Northern Territory Medical Program (NTMP). This position focuses on designing and implementing remote health experiences, supervising medical students in primary care settings, and fostering innovative teaching practices. Drawing on extensive clinical expertise, the role also involves mentoring clinical supervisors, developing curricula, and building partnerships to enhance student success and graduate employability. Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of Remote Medicine teaching across NTMP, including clinical skills training and simulation. Supervise and assess Year 3 and 4 medical students and electives during extended remote placements. Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation processes, and continuous quality improvement of courses. Build and maintain partnerships with health services and stakeholders to support work-integrated learning and remote health initiatives.
