The Role The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join the Medical Programme Professional Service Team. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Administrative Officer and Medical Programme Manager to support them in delivering assessment and progression processes and for the School of Medicine’s Graduate Medicine programme. This role will focus on managing and implementing processes in relation to all aspects of student assessment and ensuring accurate records and data are managed and in line with University and GMC regulations. The postholder is expected to build a knowledge of the systems and processes involved in order to meet expectations for recording and tracking student progress. About You The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong technical and IT skills with a focus on reporting data and supporting the development of bespoke systems aimed at monitoring and recording student data. They should be a proactive individual, competent in the use of IT with an attitude open to change and working independently. The ability to work to a high level of accuracy is also essential. The role will require excellent interpersonal and organisational ability demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with regards to changing workloads and priorities. The role will involve working with a range of staff across the School of Medicine and wider university and to adapt and support a number of professional administrative activities involved in the BMBS Graduate Medicine programme. We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and responsible person, with the ability to work both as an effective team member and independently. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to research on a project supporting the move of aviation towards zero emissions, as part of a team within the Centre for Aeronautics, Propulsion and Power, and specifically the Rolls-Royce UTC in Aero Systems Design, Integration and Performance. This role will contribute to the development of various systems used in propulsion architectures. You will be working in test facility design, computational fluid dynamic modelling, and assessment of thermo-fluid systems for aviation, focusing on icing in aircraft fuel systems. About You You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject with the necessary technical knowledge and experiences, such as test facility design, flow modelling at different levels of fidelity, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), aero-thermodynamics of power and propulsion systems, heat and mass transfer, thermo-fluid systems simulation and programming, as well as exposure to software platforms and algorithms for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. You will have experience in composing project deliverables and delivering effective presentations and be able to assist in project integration workshops and other meetings. With good communication skills, you will also be an effective team player and have the ability to cope with pressures to meet milestone deadlines. Project planning is also an important skill for this post, along with the ability to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance and initiative. As part of this role, you may be required to obtain UK Security Clearance (BPSS). Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position under the supervision of Prof. Qurrat-Ul-Ain Nadeem in the NextG Wireless Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research on the modeling, design, and performance analysis of emerging massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) architectures for next-generation wireless communications systems. The candidate will investigate advanced MIMO paradigms, including continuous aperture MIMO, pre-optimized MIMO arrays, flexible intelligent metasurfaces, and tri-hybrid MIMO systems, with a particular emphasis on near-field propagation regimes relevant to ultra-massive MIMO systems. The candidate is expected to develop physically-consistent narrowband and wideband signal models for these frameworks, and use them to analyze key performance indicators such as achievable rates, coverage, and energy efficiency, as well as optimize relevant system parameters. Applicants must hold a PhD degree or terminal degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with no more than five years post receipt of this degree, in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, telecommunications, or related field. Other requirements include: Proven track record of publications in IEEE Communications Society’s and IEEE Signal Processing Society’s journals and conferences. Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, machine learning, and optimization theory. Strong verbal and written skills in English. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and capacity to pursue independent research as well as mentor graduate students. In addition to the above qualifications, it is desirable that the applicants have: Research background in one or more of the following areas: massive MIMO, near-field propagation, channel estimation. Experience working with software defined radios and experimental testbeds for wireless communications systems.
