In this teaching-focused role, you will deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching across face-to-face and blended modes, as well as contribute to curriculum development, academic administration, and maintain strong industry engagement. This position is required for face-to-face teaching on our Bathurst campus and therefore remote work options are not available. A generous relocation package may be offered to the successful candidate to assist with relocating to Bathurst to take up this opportunity. About you A doctoral qualification relevant to electrical engineering or similar, or equivalent accreditation and standing. Demonstrated experience and commitment to delivering high quality, student centred learning and teaching. Significant knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering (ideally power systems and/or power engineering). Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in an academic setting. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent is desirable. Description The Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM), New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on the development of high-sensitivity integrated photonics sensors in the Silicon Photonics (SiPh) platform. The successful applicant will drive an exciting project on the development of smart optical sensors for environmental monitoring in the oil & gas industry. Our photonics research lab has set modern tools for the design, testing, and optimization of photonic circuits. It is open for collaboration with researchers with a background in basic research to investigate new optical circuits and materials with specific optical, electrical, and mechanical properties. The specialty of this research project is advanced optoelectronics materials for sensing applications. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Description The Division of Engineering and the Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES) at New York University Abu Dhabi are inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate to join the research group of Prof. Monica Menendez. The group focuses on monitoring, modeling, and controlling the operations of multimodal transportation systems. Particular attention is paid to new vehicle technologies and data sources; as well as the combination of traditional traffic flow theory concepts with new empirically derived models and data science ideas. Applicants must have received a PhD in engineering, computer science, urban science, or a related field. Experience in transportation, in particular related to urban science is required. Additionally, excellent communication skills in English and scientific creativity are essential. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
