COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU. Applications are now invited for the following position: Lecturer I / Lecturer II in Film Production (25260158) The program invites applications for the position of Lecturer I / II in Film Production. The successful candidate will take a leading role in curriculum development and accreditation of a higher diploma programme in film production. This position involves integrating the latest industry practices and advancements in AI filmmaking into the curriculum, as well as building and maintaining relationships with industry professionals and organisations. Candidates should possess relevant knowledge and/or experience in the following fields: AI in filmmaking Cinematography and Lighting Directing and Cinematic Storytelling Emerging Technologies in Film Production Production Design and Management Applicants should have a post-graduate degree in related disciplines and have substantial experience in film production in the AI era. Teaching or industry experience in film production, television production, or new media production is essential. Significant experience and connections in content creation for streaming platforms, or proficiency in new production techniques such as virtual production and AI filmmaking, will be advantageous. The appointee will be required to (i) develop and enhance the programme curriculum for accreditation; (ii) actively engage in industry networking to build and maintain relationships with professionals and organisations; (iii) perform teaching duties in related disciplines; (iv) provide academic guidance to students and supervise student projects; (v) coordinate with part-time teaching staff, professional bodies, and external stakeholders; and (vi) assist in administrative tasks such as promotion, admissions, internships and student activities.  Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II. Reference salary range:  Lecturer I: HK$51,000 - HK$86,000 Lecturer II: HK$38,000 - HK$53,000 The appointee will work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.  The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CONTINUING AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION DIVISION (CPED) The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults.  It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands.  Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors.  The School is now looking for individuals with qualifications and experience to join its Continuing and Professional Education Division. Lecturer I/II in Artificial Intelligence & Business Intelligence (24250169) AI for Business and Financial Markets Big Data and Business Analytics  FinTech Strategy  The appointee is required to (i) perform teaching duties in related disciplines; (ii) provide academic guidance to students; (iii) develop and manage programme; (iv) supervise projects; (v) coordinate with the part-time teaching staff; and (vi) assist in administrative work for the responsible programmes/courses such as promotion, admission interview, handling students’ enquiries and organising student activities. Applicants should possess a higher degree, preferably a doctoral degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or Business Analytics, along with relevant teaching experience and industry expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, or FinTech.  Applicants must show dedication and strong commitment in teaching and education within and beyond the classroom.
