The International University of Business Agriculture and Technology was established in 1991 as the first non-government university in Bangladesh. The university is located in Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. The university consists of six colleges: college of business administration, college of engineering and technology, college of arts and sciences, college of agricultural science, college of tourism and hospitality management, and the college of nursing. Each college is divided into different departments offering a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. There are two research institutes within the university, the Miyan Research Institute and the IUBAT Institute of SDG Studies, which was founded in 2019. The Institute of SDG Studies facilitates research in the areas of sustainable agriculture, health and wellbeing, quality education, gender equality, clear water and sanitation and climate change. There are 22 groups and 11 societies on offer for students to join outside of their studies. These include a number of sports clubs such as cricket, football, basketball, and table tennis. Students often represent the university by competing at both regional and national level throughout the year.

The Department of Japanese (DJP) of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Senior Instructor/Instructor in the following discipline: Japanese Studies: Open specialization, although Japanese Language Education would be preferred. The Department of Japanese is an established and distinguished scholarly community with a strong international tradition for the teaching of Japanese language and courses in Japanese Studies. In addition to its undergraduate BA programme in Japanese Studies, the department offers an undergraduate Minor Programme in Japanese Studies, as well as possible PhD supervision across the range of the department’s expertise. The department has particular strengths in Japanese Linguistics, Japanese History and Japanese Language Education. In addition to undergraduate teaching, graduate-level teaching and supervision may be possible within related areas. Qualifications Applicants must possess a Master’s degree or above in the field of Japanese Language Education or other areas of Japanese Studies from an accredited programme and experience and/or qualifications in teaching Japanese language to non-native students. Applicants should have their degree in hand upon application. Successful candidates also need to possess excellent organizational abilities, strong communication skills, and effective leadership qualities. Excellent command of Japanese language is expected. The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki invites applications for the position of a part-time (35%)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR  The field of the position is medical genetics and the language of instruction is Swedish. The position may be filled as assistant professor, associate professor or professor depending on the candidates’ merits and career stage. The professorship in medical genetics is associated with a research director’s position at Folkhälsan Research Centre. Applicants must submit separate applications for the professorship and the research director’s position. An appointee to the position of assistant professor in the tenure track system shall hold a doctoral degree, have the ability to conduct independent scholarly work and have the teaching skills necessary for the position. In addition, applicants for assistant professorships shall demonstrate their ability and motivation for an academic career through publications and other means. When considering applicants’ qualifications, account shall be taken not only of their research work and teaching qualifications, but also of their success in obtaining external research funding, international research experience and other international experience. An appointee to a professorship shall hold a doctoral degree and have top-level scholarly qualifications, experience in the supervision of scientific research, as well as the ability to provide toplevel research-based teaching and to supervise theses and dissertations. In addition, the appointee shall present documentation of international cooperation in the field of research that he or she represents. Holders of professorships shall also have the skills necessary for serving as an academic leader. When considering the applicant’s qualifications, attention shall be given to scientific publications and other research results of scientific value, teaching experience and pedagogical training, the ability to produce teaching material, other teaching merits and, if necessary, a demonstration of teaching skills as well as the applicant’s participation in doctoral education. To ensure that the applicant’s ability to supervise theses and dissertations meets the requirements of the Faculty of Medicine, he or she must have completed the supervision of at least one doctoral dissertation. The requirement for a supervised dissertation must be met by the end of the application deadline. The person performing the university's teaching and research position is required to master the language in which he or she must provide teaching. Successful completion of the task also requires good English language skills. When the language of instruction is Swedish, the language proficiency recommended for successfully attending to the duties of the position corresponds with level C2of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. At the faculty’s discretion, level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages may be accepted as a minimum Swedish language proficiency requirement.
