Istanbul Gelişim University is a private non-profit university in Istanbul, Turkey. The university is still a fairly young university having been established in 2008. It provides its students with education under 71 undergraduate, 57 preliminary daytime programmes, 38 associate degree night programmes, 17 thesis/15 non-thesis graduate programmes and four PhD programmes in three faculties, four schools, two vocational schools and three institutes. There are three faculties: the faculty of economics, administrative, and social sciences, the faculty of fine arts and the faculty of engineering and architecture. There are also three institutes of science and technology, social sciences and health sciences. There are about 25,000 national and international students at the university. The university has relationships with over 100 universities worldwide to aid the mobility of students at all levels. There are a number of different services for students such as the Career Development Centre and a Counselling Service. There are also a number of sports facilities on campus such as basketball and volleyball courts, tennis courts, and an indoor gymnasium.

Job Description DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION STUDIES Research Assistant / Senior Research Assistant (Full Time) (25260747) We are looking for a research assistant or senior research assistant who has knowledge and experience in conducting research in the fields of technology-based health communication and media psychology to join research projects on mental health promotion. Responsibilities: The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to support both research and administrative functions of the projects. Support all matters related to the main research project on narrative-based mental health promotion and other related projects on mHealth and health psychology. Specific tasks include participant recruitment, project management, survey design, conducting lab and online experimental studies, data maintenance and analysis, writing reports and summaries; Conduct literature reviews and contribute to the development of research protocols, grant proposals, and research ethics applications; Coordinate with collaborating organisations, including tech companies, clinics, and NGOs; Keep track of budget and expenditures; and Assist with the planning, implementation, and dissemination of research studies. Requirements: A master’s degree or higher in communication, psychology, public health, or other social science-related disciplines; candidates with a PhD are highly preferred; A passionate, self-motivated, and well-organised individual who possesses strong analytical and writing skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English, Cantonese, and Putonghua) to effectively collaborate with the research team; Knowledge of data analysis and statistical software such as SPSS or R is necessary; Experience in conducting psychology experiment or clinical trials is preferred; and Experience and skills in AI technologies, mobile health applications, designing interactive stories, or virtual reality programs in Unity are a plus. The appointment will be offered on a 9-month or 12-month fixed-term contract. Re-appointment is available and subject to performance review and mutual agreement. Do you want to support scientists on technical tasks and measurements – both in the laboratory and during multiweek, international, aircraft-based measurement campaigns on climate and environmental issues? You will contribute to the operation and further development of IT infrastructure and measurement infrastructure. You will support the monitoring of the measurement instruments and data collection during multiweek measurement campaigns with research aircraft abroad, in cooperation with international partner institutions.
