Co-Curricular Programs Coordinator (Residential Life) Full time, Continuing position $107, 312 Base + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University is seeking for a Co-curricular Programs Coordinator for the Residential Life Program to support the design, coordination and delivery of inclusive, high-quality co-curricular programs that enhance the student experience for students living in residential accommodation. The role is a combination of events management, project coordination and logistical support contributing to a consistently excellent student experience in University-owned accommodation sites. The Program Coordinator will play a key operational role in delivering and enhancing the coveted Residential Life Intramural Championship Program, which engages over 3,000 students across 14 residences. Working collaboratively with the Senior Co curricular Programs Coordinator (Residential Life), the Program Coordinator will take responsibility for the day to day coordination of arts and social sport activities, including scheduling, logistics, event delivery, and on the ground program operations. In addition to hands on program delivery, the Coordinator will be responsible for collecting, organising, and analysing participation and engagement data, and preparing clear summaries and reports to inform program improvements and support strategic decision making. https://www.sydney.edu.au/students/intramural-championship.html Working within Student Life, this role plays a critical part in delivering co-curricular initiatives at scale, aligned to the student journey and accessible to diverse cohorts across the University. You will collaborate closely with students, academic and professional staff, and external partners to co-design programs, support student-led initiatives, and contribute to a vibrant, connected student community. This role also supports the triage and case management functions of Student Life, contributes to evaluation and reporting through data analysis, and assists with communications and engagement activities to increase awareness and participation in co-curricular opportunities. We are seeking a motivated and well-organised part-time (0.3 FTE) Research Assistant to support data collection and study coordination for research exploring links between nutrition, the gut microbiome, sleep, cognition and mental health. The post will support Professor Kathrin Cohen Kadosh’s research within the School of Psychology, including Surrey’s contribution to the Horizon Europe NUTRIMIND project. The Research Assistant will help oversee data collection and data-flow activities, including participant recruitment and follow-up, questionnaire tracking, sleep-watch data, supplement adherence, stool-sample collection, study logs, data checks and ethics/GDPR documentation. The post will also support ongoing work on prebiotic supplementation and perimenopausal symptoms, where participants complete online questionnaires, wear sleep-tracking devices, take a dietary supplement and provide a stool sample. This is a part-time role, and some tasks can be carried out flexibly/remotely. However, the postholder will be expected to be an active member of the lab, attend relevant lab meetings, contribute to the day-to-day running of the research, and help with general lab tasks as needed. This role would suit an early-career researcher who is organised, careful, reliable and interested in gaining practical experience in human research, nutrition, mental health and gut–brain science. Some prior research training or experience is required, but further training will be provided. About you We are looking for someone who has: A degree or equivalent experience in psychology, nutrition, neuroscience, health sciences, public health, biosciences or a related area. Some prior research training or experience, for example through a dissertation, research placement, internship, lab role or data-collection role. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills, including confidence communicating with research participants.
