The Library at LJMU provides a wide range of digital information tools and resources and access to the digital publications needed by all our students, researchers and staff. We support our users in getting the most out of digital content, whether they are consumers or creators, with advice and training, and a high-quality digital experience when using our applications. We have extensive walk-in facilities available to all members of the public. We are the custodian of the collected outputs of all the University’s researchers, including articles, data and doctoral theses. The library provides training, support and systems for researchers to enable them to achieve their full potential and create a global impact. We are now looking for a Library Space and Experience Team Leader. You will be enthusiastic, proactive and an experienced leader and you will support the delivery of high-quality, user-focused services across our library spaces. You will play a key operational role in the day-to-day management of our City Campus and Mount Pleasant Campus Libraries, ensuring that spaces are welcoming, inclusive, safe and conducive to study. You will lead and support a team delivering frontline services, ensuring consistent, high-quality user experiences for students and staff across both sites. You should be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of academic library services and customer service principles, alongside experience of leading or supervising staff in a customer-facing environment. You will be confident managing operational services, resolving complex enquiries and incidents, and working collaboratively across teams to enhance service delivery. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to analyse user feedback and operational data to inform continuous improvement. You should be proactive, solutions-focused and committed to delivering excellent user experiences through innovation and teamwork. A confident approach to using digital systems and flexibility to work across multiple sites is also required. Schemes of Service: Research Division: Food, Chemical and Biotechnology Employment Type: Fixed Term As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) works closely with industry partners to deliver translational, impact-driven research. Key Responsibilities Formulate and optimize legume-based protein beverages (e.g., soy, pea, faba bean protein) for desired taste, texture, and stability. Conduct experimental trials on protein extraction, solubility, and emulsification properties to improve product performance. Conduct proper Design of Experiments to evaluate the functionality of prototypes. Analyze shelf life of product and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. Evaluate sensory attributes (flavor, aroma, mouthfeel) and drive improvements based on consumer feedback. Scale up formulations from lab to pilot/industrial level. Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges, including sedimentation, off-flavors, and shelf-life stability. Prepare and deliver scientific manuscripts, technical reports, progress summaries, and final reports for funding bodies and key stakeholders. Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners to support meetings, technology transfer initiatives, conferences, and authorized communication platforms. Guide, supervise, and mentor junior researchers, engineers, students, and visiting scholars contributing to project activities. Any other ad hoc responsibilities assigned by supervisor. Key Requirements Bachelor’s in food science, Food Technology, or a closely related discipline. Knowledge on legume proteins, rheology and product development. Familiarity with sensory evaluation, texture analysis, and food chara. Highly detail-oriented and self-driven, with the capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across diverse teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including effective coordination with vendors, suppliers, and external partners.

Alongside teaching and supporting pre-registration nursing students, the successful candidate will undertake the role of Lead for Practice Placement Learning providing strategic and operational leadership for clinical placements across a diverse range of healthcare settings. The post holder will work collaboratively with NHS, social care, community, and independent sector partners to develop, enhance, and quality assure practice learning environments. They will lead initiatives to expand placement capacity, support Practice Supervisors, Practice Assessors and Academic Assessors, and ensure that student learning experiences meet professional, regulatory and university standards. The role requires a registered healthcare professional (NMC) with experience of supporting learners in practice settings, strong partnership-working skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent student experiences. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, curriculum delivery, student support, placement quality assurance, and the continued development of practice-based education across the School of Health Sciences About you Be a current NMC registered Adult Nurse. Hold a teaching qualification aligned to Lecturer A/B level (or equivalent) (e.g. PGCertHE or equivalent). Have experience of supporting students in both academic and practice settings.
