Job Description SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION EARLY CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION DIVISION The Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division (ECEED), an academic arm of the School of Continuing Education, is the premier provider of early childhood and primary school teacher education in Hong Kong. It currently offers a range of academic programmes on a full-time or part-time basis for students pursuing courses with qualifications awarded from certificate to postgraduate levels. Applications are now invited for the following positions: Lecturer I / Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer (25260753) The appointees are expected to perform the following duties: a) teach in their fields of studies; b) programme and curriculum development; c) co-ordinate and manage part-time teaching staff to work as a team; d) execute quality assurance requirements; e) supervise students on research projects and fieldwork practice; and f) provide guidance and counselling services to students. Applicants should possess at least a master’s degree (preferably a doctorate degree) in the related discipline as follows and demonstrate an excellent teaching record:  Child Development and Psychology Counselling and Guidance in Early Childhood Education Creative Arts in Early Childhood Education Early Childhood Education Curriculum  Educational Administration and Management in ECE Settings Language and Literacy Learning in Early Childhood  Parent Education Special Education in Early Childhood Education Those who possess a postgraduate certificate/diploma in Education and work experience in higher education/early childhood education will be highly desirable. Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work outside normal working hours are also essential.  The appointee will mainly work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. The Role and the Department The Timetabling team play a central role in the student journey. The team are responsible for the scheduling and maintenance the central teaching timetable and associated business processes. The Timetabling Manager is responsible for the management of the timetabling team and managing excellent stakeholder relationships with staff involved in timetabling activities across the University. Additionally, the role is responsible for driving continuous improvements in timetabling processes and policy, and contributing proactively to timetabling-related projects and work groups. The Timetabling Manager will also work closely with other team managers in Student Registry to ensure a smooth flow of data between student systems and student-related business processes in the student lifecycle. The role holder requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to form confident professional relationships with colleagues at all levels.Attention to detail and ability to manage complex processes to a defined timeline is essential, as is the ability to competently use, manipulate and maintain complex datasets using business systems and web-based applications. You will pursue your doctorate at the University of Vienna as part of the Archival Science or Austrian History research group at the Institute for Austrian Historical Research, working closely with colleagues in Austria and with international research networks.  This call for applications is specifically aimed at archivists who, with a 20-hour-per-week position at the University of Vienna, can complete their doctorate within four years.  The contract term for employment is four years. Description The Applied Interactive Multimedia laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated research or postdoctoral associate to lead the design, development, and validation of material, control systems, and algorithms for next-generation soft haptic actuators and experiences. Note that the research involves significant interactions with collaborators in material science. The developed technologies will be utilized to develop digital twin and soft robot-assisted simulations in the areas of brain machine interaction, wearable haptics, and rehabilitation. The successful applicant will have the following technical experience in: PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Engineering (or related field) OR 3-5 years of industry experience (Research and Development).
