International Educational Corporation(IEC) was established in 2007. It was formed through the integration of two institutions: the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA) and the Kazakh-American University (KAU). Through this merger IEC has developed into a comprehensive educational ecosystem that spans secondary education, vocational training, undergraduate study, postgraduate programmes, and doctoral research.
Located in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city IEC provides students with access to a dynamic learning environment, closely connected to industry with the opportunity for internships and work experience.
Academically, the institution operates through several key educational entities, including KazGASA, a specialist academy for architecture, design, and the built environment, and the Kazakh-American University, which delivers internationally oriented programmes in business, management, information technology, finance, and related fields. Students can choose from various bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programmes.
A distinctive feature of IEC is its long-standing reputation as Kazakhstan’s leading institution for architecture and construction education. Its programmes have earned international recognition, with KazGASA among the first architecture schools worldwide to receive validation from the UNESCO-UIA system for architectural education.
