Your opportunity Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Health is seeking a Lecturer in Psychology to contribute to high-quality teaching and program development within the Psychology discipline. You will deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences and contribute to curriculum innovation, supporting student success within the Southern Cross Model. To succeed in this role, you will also need: A PhD in Psychology (essential), current registration - with no conditions - as a registered psychologist with AHPRA and at least 5 years of practice experience. Endorsement as a Board-approved supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia is desirable but not essential. Demonstrated excellence in teaching Psychology (theoretical and applied) in a university setting. Demonstrated success in the use of contemporary educational technologies in blended and online environments, including digital interactive content delivery. An appropriate track record in research or teaching scholarship relative to level and academic profile, including where possible publications in highly ranked journals, and supervision of honours/higher degree research candidates. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and collegially with academic, professional, and external stakeholders. The Faculty of Medicine wishes to appoint an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer, hosted by one of the following clinical specialties: Public Health, Paediatrics or Ophthalmology. The post is intended for an applicant within any of these three specialities, with the speciality of the final (single) post dependent on the successful applicant. The post-holder will be pursuing their development of research and teaching within either the Primary Care, Population Science and Medical Education school, Human Development and Health school or Clinical and Experimental Sciences school of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton. In this post-doctoral role, the successful candidate will be in specialist clinical training at ST3 level or above and have substantial experience of the relevant research areas, a proven track record of high-quality original research publications, the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary, multi-professional team and hold a corresponding NTN. You will join the NIHR Clinical Integrated Academic Training Programme at the University of Southampton, as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer. The post-holder will also have clinical commitments at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust that will lead to the acquisition of clinical skills required for full registration within the specialty. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements SNB-valid Full Practicing Certificate (Registered Nurse). A degree in Nursing from a recognised University. Possessing a Master’s degree, PhD degree and relevant certifications will be an added advantage. Have at least 10 years of clinical nursing experience in healthcare settings. Extensive experience and knowledge of nursing skills and industry practices to bring industry perspectives to SIT. Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Experience in research projects and publications will be an added advantage. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Experience in simulation education will be an added advantage. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) works closely with industry in its research pursuits. This position is situated within the Centre for Immersification, dedicated to applied research in immersive technologies and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Research staff at the Centre have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets relevant to industry demands while working on innovative projects within the university. The research team is seeking a Research Fellow or Research Engineer with strong expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and social science methodologies to lead the user research and policy development, as part of an interdisciplinary team investigating harmful user-generated content in virtual worlds as part of a national research initiative on Online Trust and Safety. The primary responsibility of this role is to investigate users’ experiences with harmful content in these virtual environments, review existing reporting guidelines on these platforms, and evaluate users’ responses to alternative mechanisms. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of faculty members, engineers, and industry partners, including labs at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at NTU. Technical skills, natural curiosity, versatility, and enthusiasm are highly desired traits that will enable success in this fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the research project together with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Conduct a comprehensive review of literature, existing safety policies, community standards, and moderation tools currently used in online social gaming platforms Design and execute surveys and interviews to collect data (including participant recruitment) to address the relevant research questions. Perform statistical analysis on survey/experimental data, and Conduct thematic analysis on interview transcripts and open-ended survey responses. To lead and report research findings in a form of high-quality publications and present in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals. Develop policy recommendations based on the research findings. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
