Founded in 1998 under the name of the Technical High School, Institut Teknologi - PLN Jakarta has had many name changes over the years. It was only in 2020, that it was awarded its current name. At IT-PLN, students can gain both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees within a wide variety of faculties, including: electricity and renewable energy, technology and energy business infrastructure and regional technology energy telematics and electrical engineering. Experts, particularly those in the energy sector, are hired by the university to teach and transfer their knowledge to students. Throughout study, IT-PLN ensures students maintain strong relationships with companies from various industries. Companies with links to the university include: PT Indonesia Power, PT Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PJB), PT Kereta Api Indonesia and PT Haleyora Powerindo. There’s also a Career Development Centre on campus. IT-PLN provides career services for all students and alumni through broadcasting job vacancies, encouraging internships, sharing tips and career counseling, as well as organising integrated career days which are held twice every year. Aiming to promote equal opportunities, there are a range of scholarships on offer providing low-income students the opportunity to have an education at IT-PLN.

The Role Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science with a particular emphasis on the design and performance analysis of resource allocation algorithms for entanglement distribution in quantum networks. The purpose of the role is to contribute to the project "Utility Optimization in Quantum Networks: Algorithm Design and Analysis", working with Dr. Thirupathaiah Vasantam (Durham University) and Prof. Ayalvadi Ganesh (The University of Bristol, UK). The successful applicant will be based at Durham University but will have opportunities to visit Prof. Ayalvadi Ganesh's group at the University of Bristol, UK. The successful applicant will have opportunities to collaborate with Prof. Neil Walton (Durham University, UK). The general aim of this project is to develop throughput-optimal entanglement distribution algorithms (both centralized and decentralized algorithms) for quantum networks with resource constraints. The project is funded by the EPSRC AI hub, "INFORMED-AI" hub. More details can be found about the INFORMED-AI hub at. The post is fixed term for 24 months with the start date as September 1st 2026, and the end date as August 31st 2028. The successful applicant will be a member of the NESTiD group within the Department of Computer Science at Durham University, UK. This post is fixed term for 24 months and will end on August 31st, 2028, unless a later start date has been agreed. The funding is available for this limited time only. The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols.
