We are seeking a pro-active, self-motivated and highly organised team player to provide research project administrative support and assistance with research tasks to a friendly team at the University of Surrey. The successful applicant will support the project manager in ensuring the smooth running of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded project that is investigating the use of new and additional professional roles in primary care in the National Health Service. The person appointed will also support research team members, when required, with gathering, organising and analysing data. One of the key aims of the project is to improve understanding of how introducing new professional roles into primary care can improve patient care and outcomes. The successful applicant will be based in the Surrey Health Economics Centre at the University of Surrey and will liaise with researchers at the University of West of England who are co-investigators in the project. The position will also require working in partnership with NHS managers, administrators, clinicians, patients and other key stakeholders with an interest in the primary care workforce.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient running of key administrative elements of this project, with strong supervision and support from an experienced wider research team, including the project manager and principal investigator. Providing some research assistant support to the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the project is also part of the role. The person appointed will be part of a vibrant community at the University of Surrey situated in the town of Guildford, which offers cultural sites, modern attractions and access to scenic countryside and London.  About you The successful applicant will require a flexible and proactive approach to work with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently within a face-to-face and remote team culture. The person appointed will have a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel spreadsheets and reference manager databases (desirable) as well as prior experience working with data including data entry, organisation of large data sets and assisting with statistical analysis. Job Description LANGUAGE CENTRE  Teaching Assistant (English Section) (25260123) The appointee is expected to assist the English Section in: (i) developing supplementary teaching and learning materials; (ii) providing support to new and existing English language enhancement activities; (iii) assisting lecturers in teaching; and (iv) performing other duties as assigned by the Head of the English Section and the Head of the Language Centre. Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics/Linguistics, English, TESOL or Language Studies and a master’s degree in a related discipline with native/native-like proficiency in English. Clinical Research Methodology and Education Specialist for the Centre of Excellence CREATIC | CZECRIN (with working hours 32 - 40 per week) The CREATIC Centre of Excellence of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno was established on 1 January 2024 and focuses on research and development of cell and gene therapy for selected rare diseases. We are currently looking for a colleague to join our center who will contribute to the design, preparation, development, and expert review of courses within a comprehensive educational program focused on clinical research methodology. The program is primarily intended for professionals in clinical research engaged in lifelong learning. Practical experience in clinical research is desirable, particularly for the ability to translate theoretical principles into concrete and understandable examples. Your responsibilities will include identifying the key courses within the program, co-developing their structure, and defining and preparing expert content in collaboration with other colleagues. We are seeking a communicative, systematic, and independent individual with an interest in education within a specialized professional field, who is motivated to actively contribute to the development of a high-quality educational program and to support its long-term advancement.
