The School of Governance and Policy (SGP) Established in 2025, SGP aspires to be the leading global hub for governance and policy scholarship and education, rooted in Hong Kong’s unique role as a bridge between China and the world, empowering leaders across Asia and beyond with strategic insight, analytical rigor, and cross-sector collaboration. By fostering multidisciplinary knowledge, we aim to strengthen governance systems, enrich multilateral understanding, and drive transformative policy impact. Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be expected to teach courses offered in postgraduate programmes related to international organizations, and/or global governance. He/She will also contribute actively to research and knowledge exchange, programme development at postgraduate level, and assume service and administrative responsibilities as appropriate. Requirements Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public policy, law, history, or a closely related field on social sciences and humanities. They should have teaching and research experience in any relevant specialism of international and regional organizations, public-private partnerships, and multilateralism to address economic and social policy challenges, especially in the Global South. They should also have a proven track record, or strong potential for research excellence, scholarly publications and securing competitive external funding. What We Offer A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salary tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. The Flow Cytometry unit is one of the HiLIFE life science research infrastructures at the University of Helsinki. The unit operates at two locations: the Viikki Flow Cytometry unit on the Viikki campus and the Biomedicum Flow Cytometry unit on the Meilahti campus. https://www.helsinki.fi/en/infrastructures/flow-cytometry We invite applications for a fixed term Research Infrastructure technician position at the Biomedicum Flow cytometry unit in Meilahti. We are seeking a substitute for a parental leave until end of September 2026. Preferably a person with background in flow cytometry, to support customers with their flow cytometry experiments. The person will contribute to the maintenance of the unit and participate in daily maintenance of the instrumentation. The role encompasses a variety of tasks, the exact work profile will be tailored based on the selected candidate´s background. Job Responsibilities Support research and development activities in waste recycling, pyrolysis reactor, in the area of chemical engineering, thermal systems, and mechanical engineering. Conduct design and improvement of the existing pyrolysis system, Perform experiments, data analysis, and technical reporting. Collaborate with academic staff, industry partners, and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all research activities. T'o communicate with any relevant stakeholders to ensure project can be completed. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
