The role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Student Outcomes and Transitions Manager to lead a high‑impact team delivering personalised student success support across the university. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Student Success Coaches delivering 1:1 coaching, group support, early‑intervention outreach, and ongoing case management, oversee the delivery and development of the Student Success Module, and drive innovative, evidence‑based initiatives that improve student engagement, retention, progression and graduate outcomes. You will work closely with academic colleagues and professional services to ensure students receive timely, holistic and inclusive support throughout their university journey. You will champion a data‑driven, student‑led approach, using learning analytics, evaluation and insight to shape operational delivery and continuously improve practice. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to drive innovation, influence institutional priorities and make a genuine difference to students’ lives. This is part of your personality: Degree: you have completed your diploma/master's degree in law, which entitles you to study for a doctorate, or an equivalent qualification with a focus on Austrian and European public law. Knowledge and areas of interest: You have demonstrable knowledge and focus of interest in Austrian or European public law, ideally through experience in institute operations and/or teaching experience. In addition, you already have experience or at least willingness in using multimedia teaching and learning formats. You bring specific interests in the research areas focused on in the department (public economic law, law of the eocnomic and monetary union, digital (markets) law, banking and financial markets law, budgetary law, sustainability law, fundamental rights, interplay between EU law and national law). You already have specific ideas for topics, or can envisage writing your dissertation in one of these areas. You have an excellent command of German (at least C1 level) as well as knowledge of foreign languages (English at least C1 level; knowledge of other languages would be an advantage) and, ideally, have already gained experience abroad. You have qualified computer skills in connection with the preparation of legal texts and ready-to-publish manuscripts.
