The Department offers a variety of courses in Management and aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and qualifications to meet the needs of a thriving business centre like Hong Kong. The primary responsibilities of the appointee include teaching and supporting the University’s educational mission. The appointee is expected to teach a variety of core and elective courses, develop new programmes, courses, teaching methods and procedures to enhance students’ learning. Additionally, appointee is encouraged to apply for teaching grants, organize knowledge transfer activities, and take responsibility for facilitating such initiatives. Candidates with advanced qualifications and more extensive experience may be considered for higher-level appointments. This is a fixed term contract position. Job Responsibilities  Support research and development activities in waste recycling, pyrolysis reactor, in the area of chemical engineering, thermal systems, and mechanical engineering.  Conduct design and improvement of the existing pyrolysis system, Perform experiments, data analysis, and technical reporting.  Collaborate with academic staff, industry partners, and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.  Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all research activities.  T'o communicate with any relevant stakeholders to ensure project can be completed. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned. Expected qualities:  Serve as the process lead engineer in both design, engineering and testing of Pyrolysis Reactor Systems  Involve in developing the process control narrative  To generate project specifications, design philosophy, PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, operation manuals to comply with clients’ requirement  To carry out process simulations and develop heat and material balances  To carry out hydraulic design for pumps, compressors, blowers and develop respective process datasheets  To check design outputs, datasheets and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts  Involve in sizing the process instrument, pump and control philosophy  Experience in downstream gas cleaning processes with real experiences operating a plant  Knowledge in tar/PAH removal and separation  Prepare and deliver various engineering related presentations, both internally and externally  Support the R&D Team  Knowledge in skid module base and PLCs programming will be highly preferred  Possess good Solid-works skillset and/or ASPEN HYSYS/3D simulations expertise  Sound knowledge in applying AI into system applications  Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Thermal, Mechanical, Environmental or related disciplines).  Work experience in similar industries. Prior experience in waste recycling, pyrolysis, production of activated carbon, heat transfer, process design, process control would be an advantage. About the area The School of Human Sciences is a large multi-disciplinary School that makes a significant contribution to teaching and research in the Physiology discipline. The School is ranked 30th in the world in the subject area of ‘Anatomy and Physiology’ (QS). Core units within the Physiology major cover the fundamentals of various biological systems (e.g., nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, reproductive and gastrointestinal) and cellular function, as well as more applied science - exercise physiology, concepts of clinical and nutritional physiology, experimental methodology, and environmental physiology. Physiology teaching also extends to other majors within the School, including Neuroscience, Exercise and Health, and Sports Science, and into other Schools that facilitate the education of pre-clinical students.
