Your position: The Institute for Systematic Theology and the Study of Religion is a subunit of the Faculty of Protestant Theology. The position of a University Assistant (Postdoctoral Researcher) is intended to strengthen our teaching and research profile (Chair of Systematic Theology, H.B.). We are seeking Protestant theologians with a strong interest in research questions within Systematic Theology, particularly Dogmatics, Ethics, and Philosophy of Religion. Your future tasks: You will actively contribute to the research, teaching, and administration of the Institute, particularly within the Chair of Systematic Theology (H.B.). Your responsibilities include: Participation in research projects, teaching activities, and administrative duties assigned to the organizational unit; Contribution to organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation processes; Supervision and advising of students; Independent research activities; Independent teaching and examination duties in accordance with the assigned workload. This is part of your personality: Completed doctoral degree (PhD) in Systematic Theology; Strong research interest and experience in the history of theology and philosophy of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; Outstanding expertise and experience in scholarly editing, particularly in digital editing (XML), archival research, academic annotation/commentary, and print editions; Willingness to contribute to the development of a research focus on religious aesthetics and psychology of religion within the Chair of Systematic Theology (H.B.) through conferences, research networks, and publications; Experience in and willingness to contribute to the acquisition of third-party funding; Independent and well-structured working style, strong organizational skills, and solid IT competence; Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken; Active work on a habilitation project (postdoctoral qualification) in the field of Systematic Theology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advancing our understanding of microbial communities in soil ecosystems and their roles in nutrient cycling, soil health, and environmental sustainability. Job Responsibilities Conduct independent and collaborative research projects focused on the effect seaweeds bioproducts on soil biology, soil carbon, microbial diversity, and functional genomics. Apply molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, metagenomics, transcriptomics) to study microbial communities in soil environments. Develop and optimize laboratory protocols for characterization, and functional analysis of soil biology.
