The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Sciences for a fixed term until 31st December 2026. You will be expected to make broad contributions to the academic work of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences across undergraduate and postgraduate levels (inc., levels 3 – 8). You will be required to deliver high-quality curricula to students across the school that is research and practice-informed with a specific focus on Sport and Exercise Science Professional Practise, Physiology and Nutrition. You will also develop and oversee placement opportunities with individuals, sports organisations and teams and support wider initiatives aimed at enhancing student engagement, employability, and overall satisfaction. The Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry invites applications for the position of University lecturer in Agrotechnology starting on 1.8.2026 or by mutual agreement. Agrotechnology research focuses on the development of environmentally sustainable technologies for farming and food production. A strong emphasis is on technology innovation and sustainability by taking into account the interaction between technology, plants, animals, environment and society. Many future trends in agriculture require adoption of new technologies and their integration within existing processes. Electrification of machinery, automation, information systems, and machine intelligence represent technological methods that are important for future in order to develop environmentally sustainable farming processes, improve energy and production efficiency, and mitigate environmental impacts. The assessment of applicant merits considers scholarly publications and other research outputs of scholarly value, teaching experience and pedagogical training, the ability to produce learning materials, other teaching merits and, if necessary, a teaching demonstration. The degree requirement (doctoral degree) must be met by the end of the application period. In this position, the teaching and supervision responsibilities will be conducted within Finnish-language degree programmes. Success in this role requires a good command of both spoken and written Finnish.
