Agrotechnology research focuses on the development of environmentally sustainable technologies for farming and food production. A strong emphasis is on technology innovation and sustainability by taking into account the interaction between technology, plants, animals, environment and society. Many future trends in agriculture require adoption of new technologies and their integration within existing processes. Electrification of machinery, automation, information systems, and machine intelligence represent technological methods that are important for future in order to develop environmentally sustainable farming processes, improve energy and production efficiency, and mitigate environmental impacts.
