Job Purpose The role holder’s contribution will be central to delivery and support of teaching, learning and assessment, across Business for the University of Southampton Delhi. Appointment Type: Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 2 years, with a possibility of further renewal subject to funding Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde The Role: An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and motivated researcher to join Macquarie University's School of Engineering and contribute to the project "Energy on Wheels: A New Approach to the Smart Grid with Electric Vehicles," a project funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC). You will develop a new model of electrical energy distribution, including renewable energy generation and electric vehicles. It will be used to optimize network resources across the grid, matched to energy supply and user demands. The project will include optimization and probabilistic analysis under practical engineering constraints. You will develop new tools for network optimization and performance analysis of a distributed smart grid with electric vehicles and renewable energy generation. You will collaborate with Profs Stephen Hanly, Iain Collings, Graham Town and Dr Hazer Inaltekin. There is a research plan that will guide the research but there is considerable scope for you to take a leadership role. There will be opportunities for supervision of postgraduate students as well. Selection Criteria To be considered for this position you need to provide a cover letter responding to the selection criteria below.
