The Position The Faculty is seeking an outstanding scholar with proven international leadership in research, teaching, and knowledge exchange in the field of Computational Social Science. Applications are invited for appointment as Professor / Associate Professor within the Faculty of Social Sciences, with a start date of January 1, 2027, or at the earliest convenience. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in social sciences or a related field, with a focus on computational social sciences. The candidate should possess expertise in developing and applying cutting-edge computational and quantitative methods in social sciences, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. The candidate should have a proven ability to work on cross-disciplinary social science topics and a strong interest in exploring AI, society, and social dynamics. Competitive candidates for this position should have a scholarly track record with evidence of high-quality research and publications in leading academic journals. He/She will also be responsible for teaching courses and supervising students at both graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as contributing to the administration of academic programmes. What We Offer A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in the broad research areas of non-associative algebras and representation theory. Although all applicants with a background in these two areas will be considered, priority will be given to candidates who have prior experience with modular Lie superalgebras. Candidates must hold a PhD in mathematics or Theoretical Physics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cutting-edge research in Representation Theory or Non-Associative Algebras, and experience in doing research in representation theory or non-associative algebras. The Post-Doctoral Associate will be appointed for a duration of two years and will work under the supervision of Professor Sofiane Bouarroudj. Description The Perception and Active Cognition laboratory in the Center for Brain & Health, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on the mechanisms underlying mental processing speed. The successful applicant will drive a fascinating project that links processing speed measures to previously acquired functional and structural MRI data. The project will also involve simultaneously acquired and co-registered fMRI and EEG measurements. Measures of cognitive “Speed of Processing” are important for studies of healthy aging and many disorders, including multiple sclerosis, autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and schizophrenia, as well as diabetes and obesity. This project investigates the neural correlates of Speed of Processing and its subcomponents, translating into a more complete understanding of the mechanisms involved and their role in brain health. This project combines MRI and EEG/MEG studies with behavioral, genetic, and clinical measures to yield a more complete picture of how processing speed is related to health outcomes.  The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.  Applicants must have a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related field. Strong neuroimaging data processing skills relevant to the project are required. Applicant must have no more than five years post receipt of this degree are eligible for a postdoctoral appointment.
