Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HiCET) is a private engineering institution founded in 2000 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, under the Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust. The institution is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
HiCET offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes primarily across engineering and management disciplines. Key fields include computer science and engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, and aeronautical engineering, alongside postgraduate programmes such as MBA, MCA, and MTech. The institution follows outcome-based education and choice based credit system models, ensuring students develop and demonstrate mastery of technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies by the end of their studies.
HiCET’s campus includes Centres of Excellence and an entrepreneurship development cell supporting student start-ups and applied research.
There are over 40 student organisations, alongside a range of sports and fitness facilities. It has also established a National Cadet Corps on campus, supporting student development and helping with job prospects post-graduation.
