The Higher School of Agronomy Mostaganem (HSAM) is a public higher education institution in Algeria. It started as a Preparatory School in Natural and Life Sciences in 2013 and later became a Higher School of Agronomy in 2017. It is overseen by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Higher School of Agronomy Mostaganem has two main missions: higher education and scientific research. In terms of higher education, it offers programmes in agronomy, covering areas like agricultural production, agro-industry, environment, and rural development. These programmes are designed to prepare students for careers in the agricultural sector. Students who have completed high school or equivalent diplomas can apply, but they must pass competitive exams. The teaching staff includes experienced professionals in the field. Apart from higher education, HSAM is also involved in scientific research, innovation, technology transfer, and development. It conducts research in agronomy, collaborating with national and international partners. The institution has well-equipped research laboratories and an experimental platform for research projects. Over the years, our faculty members have been the recipients of the University’s Research Excellence Award and Teaching Excellence Award. General Requirements Applicants should have a PhD degree in Sociology, Social Policy, Social Work, Health Studies or other related disciplines, with relevant teaching experience. Applicants are required to provide their teaching portfolio, and teaching evaluation, among other relevant information. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are essential. The appointee should be able to perform the following duties: To teach across a large variety of undergraduate courses offered by the department, including the Making of Hong Kong and at least one Health and Social Services Management Programme (HSM) course; To provide in-house teaching training/mentorship of postgraduate students, post-docs, research assistant professors, and, when necessary, entry-level assistant professors; To serve as a senior tutor and provide students in our department (Sociology, Social Policy, and Health and Social Services Management) with pastoral care; To perform teaching administrative duties in the department; Be able to take up a leadership role on the development of new programme(s) in Undergraduate (UG) and/or Postgraduate Taught (PGT) areas that align with the University strategic objectives, such as Digital Sociology. Job Description: The Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems at Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications for the above positions. Faculty members in the Marketing discipline regularly publish their research in top-tier marketing journals such as Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Marketing Research.
