Hatay Mustafa Kemal University is a public university located in Antakya and İskenderun in southern Turkey, enrolling approximately 24,900 students. Founded in 1992 as Mustafa Kemal University, it was named in honour of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. The institution was officially renamed Hatay Mustafa Kemal University in 2018.
The university has expanded with multiple faculties, colleges, vocational schools, institutes, research centres, a conservatoire, and a university hospital. The main campus is in Serinyol, Antakya, while engineering and technology faculties are located in İskenderun.
Academic programmes span agriculture, engineering, medicine, health sciences, veterinary sciences, arts, social sciences, tourism, and communication. Postgraduate studies are offered through institutes of Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Hatay Mustafa Kemal University is a member of the European University Association and the Caucasus University Association, reflecting its commitment to international collaboration.
