The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Civil Engineering, to play a lead role in collaborative research projects and conduct ongoing original research and publications in the area of Construction Management. Candidates must have a PhD degree in Construction Management or closely related field, and excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Knowledge and experience of construction project management are necessary. Experience of supervising PhD and Master students and experience of teaching, tutorial or laboratory work at undergraduate and postgraduate level in an international English speaking institution are preferable. A proven record of research excellence with publications in peer-reviewed journals and in securing research funding, and teaching experience including curriculum development and leadership in academic programmes are also preferable. Salary will be within the range of 450,190 RMB to 592,815 RMB per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments. The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years starting October 2026. Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position under the supervision of Prof. Qurrat-Ul-Ain Nadeem in the NextG Wireless Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research on the modeling, design, and performance analysis of emerging massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) architectures for next-generation wireless communications systems. The candidate will investigate advanced MIMO paradigms, including continuous aperture MIMO, pre-optimized MIMO arrays, flexible intelligent metasurfaces, and tri-hybrid MIMO systems, with a particular emphasis on near-field propagation regimes relevant to ultra-massive MIMO systems. The candidate is expected to develop physically-consistent narrowband and wideband signal models for these frameworks, and use them to analyze key performance indicators such as achievable rates, coverage, and energy efficiency, as well as optimize relevant system parameters. Applicants must hold a PhD degree or terminal degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with no more than five years post receipt of this degree, in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, telecommunications, or related field. Other requirements include: Proven track record of publications in IEEE Communications Society’s and IEEE Signal Processing Society’s journals and conferences. Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, machine learning, and optimization theory. Strong verbal and written skills in English. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and capacity to pursue independent research as well as mentor graduate students. In addition to the above qualifications, it is desirable that the applicants have: Research background in one or more of the following areas: massive MIMO, near-field propagation, channel estimation. Experience working with software defined radios and experimental testbeds for wireless communications systems.
