Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity You will join an ARC Discovery team advancing stochastic optimisation for highly correlated restless bandit models. You will collaborate with leading investigators across Melbourne, RMIT and Spain, developing your independent research profile. You will also co-supervise research students and contribute to teaching within a world-class mathematics school. What you will deliver: Conduct high quality research in stochastic optimisation, focusing on theory and applications of correlated restless bandit models. Collaborate closely with chief investigators and research partners to design studies, analyse results and publish impactful outputs. Prepare and contribute to competitive grant proposals and related research documentation under guidance from senior academics. Co-supervise and mentor postgraduate and honours students, supporting their research training and academic development. Present research at seminars and conferences, and participate in School service, outreach and diversity activities. You may be a great fit if you: Hold or submit a PhD in mathematics, optimisation, stochastic modelling or a closely related quantitative discipline. Demonstrate strong expertise in stochastic optimisation, including experience applying advanced methods to complex modelling problems. Bring experience contributing to research projects, from problem formulation to analysis, publication and dissemination of findings. Contribute to supervision or mentoring of undergraduate or postgraduate research students in mathematical or related fields. Work effectively within collaborative research teams while also progressing individual projects with limited supervision. Schemes of Service: Research Division: Food, Chemical and Biotechnology Employment Type: Fixed Term As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) works closely with industry partners to deliver translational, impact-driven research. Key Responsibilities Formulate and optimize legume-based protein beverages (e.g., soy, pea, faba bean protein) for desired taste, texture, and stability. Conduct experimental trials on protein extraction, solubility, and emulsification properties to improve product performance. Conduct proper Design of Experiments to evaluate the functionality of prototypes. Analyze shelf life of product and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. Evaluate sensory attributes (flavor, aroma, mouthfeel) and drive improvements based on consumer feedback. Scale up formulations from lab to pilot/industrial level. Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges, including sedimentation, off-flavors, and shelf-life stability. Prepare and deliver scientific manuscripts, technical reports, progress summaries, and final reports for funding bodies and key stakeholders. Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners to support meetings, technology transfer initiatives, conferences, and authorized communication platforms. Guide, supervise, and mentor junior researchers, engineers, students, and visiting scholars contributing to project activities. Any other ad hoc responsibilities assigned by supervisor. Key Requirements Bachelor’s in food science, Food Technology, or a closely related discipline. Knowledge on legume proteins, rheology and product development. Familiarity with sensory evaluation, texture analysis, and food chara. Highly detail-oriented and self-driven, with the capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across diverse teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including effective coordination with vendors, suppliers, and external partners.

Description Jaime Napier’s Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to conduct globally-conscious research on gender-related attitudes, gender stereotypes, and/or attitudes and beliefs about sexual orientation. Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits. Research in our lab focuses on the social and psychological antecedents and consequences of inequality, broadly defined. The ideal candidate for the current position will have a strong background in research on gender and sexual orientation. Some potential projects include: (1) understanding backlash against gender equality and queer rights; (2) understanding the content and structure of gender stereotypes and their consequences; and (3) examining patterns of gender-related attitudes over time and cross-nationally. The position entails involvement in all stages of research, including (but not limited to) study design, data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation. Candidates must hold a PhD in social psychology or a closely related field, with no more than five years post receipt of the PhD, be competent in research design and advanced statistical analyses, and have strong writing and communication skills.
