About Grwp Llandrillo Menai

Grwp Llandrillo Menai is a further education college. It was founded in 2012 as a result of the merger of Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It aims to support the economy of north Wales by equipping local people with various skills and qualifications.

The college is located in Bangor, a city in Gwynedd, north Wales. Bangor is one of the oldest cities in the country and one of the smallest cities in the UK.

Students at the college are able to follow their own programme for learning, which consists of a vocational qualification (such as an NVQ or a BTEC) and a number of AS and A2 subjects. The programme may also include the Welsh Baccalaureate, which can be studied alongside a full-time course, and other literacy and numeracy qualifications.

For students who enjoy playing sports there are a variety of clubs available including athletics, badminton, basketball, football, hockey, netball and rugby. Students can choose to play at both friendly and competitive levels.

There is also the enterprise club which provides a wide range of free informal workshops, employer sessions, competitions and other educational opportunities throughout the year. Its aim is to enhance student employability and prospects for the future.
