The Graphic Era University has its roots with the Graphic Era Institute which was formed in 1993. It gained university status in 2008. It offered undergraduate programmes in engineering and allied sciences.

The university is located in Uttarakhand, a state in northern India near the Himalayas. The campus is in Clement Town, Dehradun which borders Rajaji National Park. Clement Town is known for its military educational institutions including the Indian Military Academy, National Defence Academy, St Patrick’s Academy and Army Public School. This makes for a large student population in the area.

Undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programmes are offered at Graphic Era University in the fields of: engineering, management, commerce, humanities and social sciences, life sciences, hotel management and hospitality, nursing, and paramedical sciences.

As part of the university’s expanding digitalisation, students can access lots of resources from home including the digital library which is an app that allows students to read books and textbooks from their phones and laptops instead of visiting the library itself.

Your working environment: The Institute for Systematic Theology and Religious Studies is a subunit of the Faculty of Protestant Theology. The position to be filled as a university assistant (postdoc) serves to strengthen our teaching and research portfolio. We are looking for Protestant theologians with a special interest in research questions from systematic theology. Description We are inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in demography, epidemiology, public health, or a related discipline in the social sciences. The appointment will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and is available for up to three years. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professor Stéphane Helleringer. The collaborative research will be on population health and its determinants in low-and-middle-income countries, with an emphasis on measurement issues and the impact of crises such as epidemics and disasters. The job entails conducting high-quality research on population health and its determinants in low-and-middle-income countries. This includes conceptualizing research questions, designing empirical studies, collecting or acquiring new data sets, and analyzing these data using advanced statistical models and visualization techniques. The job also emphasizes the dissemination of knowledge about population health, particularly through the preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts, software packages and/or participation in international conferences. Candidates must hold a PhD in demography, epidemiology, public health or related discipline in the social sciences. The ideal candidate is preferred to have prior experience with data collection and collaboration in low-and-middle-income countries and good knowledge of R or other software for data management, analysis and visualization. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. You would join a group of over 20 post-doctoral fellows and 70 faculty in the Division of Social Science. The Role The School seeks to appoint a two-year Career Development Fellow in French & Francophone Studies. Applications are welcome from those working in all areas of French & Francophone literary and cultural studies, and we are especially interested to receive applications from those with specialisms in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. In line with institutional expectations for Career Development Fellowships, your time will be divided between the three core activities of teaching (60%), research (30%) and citizenship (10%). The post offers an exciting opportunity to develop internationally excellent research/scholarship and teaching while providing unrivalled, tailored support for your career progression at an exciting and progressive institution. Given the developmental nature of the role it is not anticipated that the post will be extended beyond the initial fixed term of two years. Following the end of the term, the role-holder will be in a strong position to apply for relevant permanent academic roles, should they arise, at Durham or elsewhere. Successful applicants are normally expected to be within 8 years of completing their PhD, although career breaks for parental leave and/or health reasons will be considered. This is because the role is aimed at early career academics who would benefit from a structured development programme and provision of both formal and 'on the job' training. The post is also open to those who are returning to academia after a career in another sector. Successful applicants will ideally be in post by 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is a busy customer-facing role that is based across two areas- the main reception and the post room. You will be regularly interacting with students, contractors and visitors. There are four other members of the team and you will need to be able to work Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm depending on the rota.
