The Government College Women University Faisalabad began life as an intermediate college in 1934, becoming a Degree College in 1944, with postgraduate disciplines introduced in 1985. It was granted university status in 2013. The univeristy has two campuses, which are attended by more than 8,000 students. There are PhD programs in seven disciplines, MS/M.Phil programmes in 16 disciplines, master level programmes in 20 disciplines, and bachelor programmes in 25 disciplines. There are four faculties: the faculty of science and technology, faculty of arts and social sciences, faculty of management and administrative science, and faculty of Islamic and Oriental learning. The mission of the Government College Women University Faisalabad is to provide students an enabling environment where dialogue is encouraged and ideas envisioned. On campus, there is a large library, hostel facility, canteen and photocopier shop, as well as a transport service made just for students. It has a host of thriving student societies, such as the blood donor society, the business society and debating and quiz society among others. The university aims to constantly introduce and uphold programmes which are specific to the needs of women, their employability and entrepreneurship. Economically marginalised students are supported through need-based and merit-based scholarships. The Government College Women University Faisalabad is located in Faisalabad, in the province of the Punjab, which is known for its yarn and textile production. Faisalabad is also the biggest industrial hub of Pakistan and has over seven million residents. There’s an international airport, dry port, hospitals and a blend of urban meets rural living.

The University of Nicosia Medical School (UNIC Athens) invites applications from motivated clinical academics for a Teaching and Research Faculty position in Respiratory Medicine, based in Athens, Greece. Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Respiratory Medicine or a relevant field. Specialty certification in Respiratory Medicine (Board Certification or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience. Eligibility for full, unrestricted medical licensure in Greece, permitting independent practice of Respiratory Medicine. Proven record of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching relevant to the subject area. Research portfolio and publication record commensurate with the rank sought. Excellent command of Greek and English. Key Responsibilities Develop, deliver, and regularly update content relevant to their specialty across the curriculum of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme, from pre-clinical courses to clinical rotations, as well as in postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to engage students through innovative teaching methods, fostering critical thinking, clinical reasoning, professional values and ethical practice. Provide clinical education leadership, overseeing curriculum design and delivery, student assessment and continuous quality improvement, and provide mentorship to junior members of the clinical education team. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, including advising on research projects, theses, and career development. Conduct high-impact research in Respiratory Medicine, securing external funding to establish and sustain these programmes. Disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Serve on Departmental and School committees and assist with strategic planning and development. Advance the School’s mission by leading community outreach initiatives, holding leadership roles in relevant professional societies, and building strategic partnerships with healthcare and regulatory organisations.
