As a Teaching and Research Academic, you will: Deliver inspiring teaching in natural science topics, particularly applied marine ecology, using contemporary, multi-mode teaching approaches. Make independent and high-quality contributions to research through publications, external grant applications, and research student supervision. Strengthen and expand partnerships with industry, government, and professional organisations to enrich teaching, learning and research outcomes. Contribute to the supervision of research student programs.  About You You are a collaborative, student-centred educator and researcher, committed to advancing sustainable marine science and delivering engaging learning experiences. You bring strong communication skills, a collegial mindset, and the ability to contribute to high-performing multidisciplinary teams. Depending on your career stage, you will also demonstrate: A completed or near completed PhD or equivalent in applied marine ecology, marine science, environmental science, or a related discipline. Evidence of high-quality teaching in the tertiary environment, including topic coordination or curriculum design in applied marine ecology or natural sciences. A developing or established research track record (relative to career stage) in sustainable marine industries or applied marine ecology/science, including publications and competitive grant success. Experience supervising Honours or HDR students (desirable). Capacity to contribute to curriculum review and accreditation activities (desirable).
