Goa University serves the former Portuguese enclave on India's west coast, which became part of India in 1962. Established in 1962, it began as an independent university in 1984. The central campus, located on the Taleigao Plateau near Panaji, primarily serves postgraduate students, while undergraduate courses are offered through a network of over 50 affiliated colleges across Goa. Goa University has plans for expansion, including a research park and incubators for various disciplines. It also introduced new programmes and flexible course durations to align with the 2020 National Education Plan.

The role The Surrey Institute of Education (SIoE) is looking for a proactive and highly organised individual to join our small friendly team as a part-time Education Support Officer (0.5 FTE). Your role will be to provide high-quality, professional, administrative and educational support to the Head of the SIoE and to academic colleagues working within the department. In addition, the postholder will also provide administrative support to colleagues in the Digital Learning team. This is a key role for an enthusiastic and personable individual who takes pride in delivering a seamless service. The University operates a hybrid working approach and this role will be a minimum of two days per week office-based with flexibility to attend campus more frequently when required. Have a degree in Food Science and Technology, or Analytical Chemistry. Possessing a Master's or PhD degree will be advantageous Experience and Knowledge of operating HPLC, MALDI-TOF and Q-TOF Mass spectrometry for protein sequencing, carbohydrate/Sugar analysis, and polyphenol identification. Previous experience as lab-in-charge or equipment-in-charge will be advantageous. Able to communicate with industrial collaborators to share key findings, seek supports, or conducting commercial trials. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety, and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
