The Hospitality Business Programme (BHB): The Bachelor of Hospitality Business with Honours is a direct honours degree programme. It is the first and only hospitality business degree programme offered by an autonomous university in Singapore. The programme aims to nurture hospitality leaders who are passionate about making positive and tangible contributions to the industry.

Qualifications: Applicants must be committed to excellence in discovery, teaching, and service to the hospitality and tourism industries. An applicant is required to have a Doctoral Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Big Data, Entrepreneurship, Asset Management, AI), preferably with extensive management experience in the hospitality and tourism business, excellent teaching experience, and a strong publication record (e.g., industry or community reports), or has the potential to excel in these three areas.

Principal Duties: The Hospitality Business Programme (BHB) is seeking a Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in one or two of the following areas:


	Hospitality Tech / Digitalization / AI Application in Hospitality and Tourism / AI Marketing
	Data Analytics / Big Data
	Hospitality Investment and Development / Asset Management
	(Hospitality) Entrepreneurship


Additionally, the successful candidate will conduct funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in their areas of expertise, and supervise capstone students in relevant topics. They are also granted paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached to industry.

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)

United Kingdom, Southampton

We seek a seismologist to fill a Postdoctoral research position as part of a new NERC-funded project investigating seismicity, fluid processes and structure in active rift zones. The new project – Testing Models of Active Extension (TMAX) – will involve collection and analysis of new earthquake data in the Corinth Rift, Greece. The researcher will take a lead role in fieldwork during the project (deployment and maintenance of seismometers onshore and participation in a short research cruise) and will have the opportunity to work directly with our project partners based in Greece.

About you

You will hold or be in the final stages of a PhD in a subject relevant to the project. You will have experience handling large passive seismic datasets and processing and analysing seismicity data. You will also have experience in communicating your research results, through presentation at scientific conferences and through publication in peer-reviewed journals. Ideally you will also have experience in seismological fieldwork and competence in crustal seismic imaging from local or teleseismic data. Competence in interpreting seismicity results with tectonic and structural geology information is also desirable. 

The role

The postdoctoral researcher will join a team of experienced UK and Greek scientists on the project. The researcher will combine seismicity data collected by a new onshore-offshore temporary seismic network with data from existing permanent seismic networks in Greece. Data processing will include implementation of automated detection of seismicity and subsequent derivation of a high-quality seismicity catalogue. Additional analysis will include earthquake relocation, focal mechanism determination / moment tensor inversion, and waveform frequency content analysis. The role may include seismic imaging of crustal structure using techniques such as local earthquake tomography, ambient noise tomography and teleseismic receiver functions. The researcher will also contribute to the management and implementation of the seismic network in the field. We anticipate a start date for the position of June 1, 2026, with some flexibility on exact start time.

The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to an applied research project related to AI-assisted speech therapy in collaboration with hospital partners.

Key Responsibilities:


	Model Development: Design, train, and fine-tune ASR and TTS models to achieve high accuracy and personalization across diverse speech patterns and impairments.
	Data Management: Oversee data collection and preprocessing in collaboration with healthcare partners to ensure quality, diversity, and clinical relevance.
	System Integration: Export and deploy models for real-time use on mobile and web platforms, and work with developers to ensure seamless integration.
	Tooling and Automation: Develop pipelines and utilities to support data processing, model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
	Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer: Document technical processes, contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork, and guide students in applied research and system development.


Job Requirements:

Educational Background 

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

ASR/TTS Expertise

Experience in training and fine-tuning Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) or Text-to-Speech (TTS) models, preferably in multilingual or speech impairment contexts.

Programming Skills

Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Experience with web development (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or React) is a plus. 

Data Handling

Familiarity with speech data collection, preprocessing, and management to ensure quality and ethical data use.

Deployment Knowledge

Experience exporting and deploying models on cloud or cross-platform environments.

Collaboration and Communication

Strong teamwork, documentation, and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare partners.

The Research Engineer will play a key role in automated wildlife identification and classification from trap camera images using cutting-edge computer vision technology. Working closely with the Principal Investigator, Co-PI, and interdisciplinary research team, RE will develop and implement deep learning algorithms to analyze trap camera footage for wildlife monitoring and conservation efforts.

Job Responsibilities


	Participate in and manage the research project together with the PI, Co-PI, and research team to ensure timely achievement of project deliverables.
	Undertake the following specific responsibilities in the project:
	Develop, train, and optimise deep learning models for wildlife species identification, classification, and segmentation using real-world datasets.
	Design and implement software modules to integrate the models into a working system prototype.
	Perform data annotation.
	Conduct experiments, analyse results, and iterate models for improved accuracy and efficiency.
	Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and academic publications.
	Collaborate with industry partners and contribute to technology transfer efforts.
	Support the design of simple web interfaces or dashboards to visualise CV model outputs, working alongside developers when needed.
	Contribute to system integration by applying familiarity with backend/frontend workflows, ensuring CV models can be accessed through user-facing applications.
	Assist in deployment of CV solutions on cloud or edge platforms with basic interface support for end-users.
	The candidate is to liaise and communicate with any internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met and to perform any other adhoc duties assigned by Supervisor.  


Technical Requirements:


	Possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in:
	Deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
	Computer vision models for object detection and classification (e.g., YOLO, R-CNN variants, EfficientNet, ResNet, U-Net)
	Image processing and computer vision techniques 
	Python programming and relevant libraries (e.g., OpenCV, NumPy, scikit-learn, Pandas, Matplotlib)
	Experience with dataset preparation, model training, and performance evaluation
	Candidates with strong computer vision expertise and proven success in 1-2 substantial CV projects are welcome to apply regardless of domain-specific experience


Familiarity with Web/Full-Stack Development:


	Basic understanding of frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
	Eposure to backend development (e.g., Flask, Django, Node.js)
	Awareness of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
	General knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
	Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for deployment and scaling


Educational Requirements:


	Hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
	Master's or PhD degree in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or related areas will be advantageous


Preferred Qualifications:


	Experience with biological/ecological datasets or wildlife imagery
	Familiarity with data annotation tools and practices for large-scale datasets
	Knowledge of model deployment and optimization (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT, model quantization)
	Experience with edge computing or embedded systems (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi)
	Background in real-time processing and GPU acceleration (CUDA)
	Participation in relevant competitions (e.g., Kaggle, computer vision challenges)
	Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices
