Basic information and contact details for Giresun University
Giresun University was founded in 1962 as Giresun Training College. It grew with the creation of the Faculties of Arts and Science in 1998 followed by Economics and Administrative Science and Health Science in 2003.
It has grown rapidly and is now spread across 19 campuses. Some 13 of them accommodate vocational high schools, while the main Gure campus is host to the administration and most of GRU’s 13 faculties. Medicine is centred on Gazipasa, Dentistry at Nizamiye, Health Science at Piraziz, Tourism at Kesap, Communications at Tirebolu, Fine Arts and Applied Sciences at Garg and a further Applied Science base at Sebinkarahisar.
