About George Brown College

George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public college of applied arts and technology with three campuses in downtown Toronto, Canada.

George Brown College first opened its doors in 1968, and welcomed just over 2,000 students.

It now offers a wide variety of programmes in art and design, business, community services, early childhood education, construction and engineering technologies, health sciences, hospitality and culinary arts, preparatory studies, as well as specialised programmes and services for recent immigrants and international students.

The school's team name is the Huskies and varsity sports include: badminton, baseball, cross country, soccer, indoor soccer, volleyball and basketball. There are more than 50 student clubs at the university that students can get involved with.

The peer connect student support service aims to connect students with fellow students who can help them with managing their wellbeing and inclusion. The service runs workshops, peer-to-peer supports, and events and programmes under three pillars: wellbeing, inclusion and good food.
