Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University is a public higher education institution that was established in 2019. It is located in Gaziantep, the capital of Gaziantep province, in Turkey’s south-eastern Anatolia region.

The university has eight faculties: engineering and natural sciences; health sciences; medicine; dentistry; economics, administrative and social sciences; law; fine arts, design and architecture; and theology. In addition, it has several other institutes, colleges and vocational schools.

About 1,500 of the university’s students are pursuing associate degrees, while almost 4,000 are on the undergraduate track. More than 200 students are seeking a master’s qualification. Across the campus are about 700 international students, with the largest cohort from Syria. There are some 200 teaching staff at Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University.

A number of scholarship opportunities are available to students. 

The university has an internationalisation strategy focused on education and research, including sustainable scientific collaborations with institutions worldwide, and it has a number of agreements with universities in Europe and elsewhere. 

The university has an array of clubs and social activities for students. There are also a number of sports facilities.

Description The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region. The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection. Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting. The role works closely with dedicated neuroimaging and research assistants who focus on technical data acquisition, imaging pipelines, and analysis, while the Clinical Coordinator leads clinical governance and participant-facing workflows. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field; a Master’s degree or clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical psychology) is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 2–3 years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials, ideally in neurology, psychiatry, or related areas, and demonstrated familiarity with ethical and regulatory requirements for human research. Experience working with patient populations and/or in neuroimaging or neuromodulation environments (MRI, EEG, MEG, TMS) is highly advantageous. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages spoken in the UAE is an asset. We invite applications for two positions of University Instructor in law. The appointments will be for a fixed term from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2031. The positions broadly encompass teaching in various legal fields in the Bachelor’s Programme in Law.  The appointees’ duties include the provision of undergraduate instruction and thesis supervision in the degree programme. The appointees will also contribute to curriculum and learning material design and development, as well as carry out jointly agreed administrative, guidance and supervision duties. In accordance with the University of Helsinki Regulations, an appointee to the position of university instructor must hold an applicable second-cycle degree and have teaching experience. Pedagogical training and the ability to produce learning material and deliver and develop teaching in a variety of ways will be particularly appreciated.  Pursuant to the Government Decree on Universities (770/2009), appointees to teaching and research positions at the University must be proficient in the language in which they provide instruction, in other words, Finnish or Swedish. In this case, the language of instruction of at least one of the positions is Finnish. The other position’s language of instruction can be Swedish, but we require at least satisfactory oral and written skills in both of the national languages of Finland (Finnish and Swedish) from both appointees. A person not educated in Finland in Finnish or Swedish may be exempted from the Swedish requirement. To successfully attend to the duties of the positions, appointees must also have good English skills. The assessment of applicant merits considers teaching experience, pedagogical training, the ability to produce learning material, other teaching merits and, if necessary, a demonstration of teaching skills. Experience of teaching higher education students and adults with higher education qualifications in Finland and abroad, as well as versatile language skills, will be considered an asset.  The salary will be based on level 5 of the job requirement scheme for teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, the appointees will be paid a salary component based on personal performance. At the beginning of employment, the monthly salary will be approximately €3,900–€4,100 in accordance with the salary scale valid from 1 June 2026.
