Galgotias University was founded in 2011 by Sunned Galgotia. It is the second regional campus of Galgotias Educational Institutions, after Galgotias College which is located near Pari Chowk in Greater Noida.
The university is situated in Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India.
Academically, the university is organised into 18 schools, which offer a wide range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in the fields of: computer science and engineering, computer applications and technology, business, engineering, law, liberal education, media and communication studies, hospitality and tourism, biological and life sciences, biomedical sciences, basic sciences, finance and commerce, agriculture, allied health sciences, medical and allied sciences, nursing, education, and design.
There is also the School of Vocational Education which offers courses focusing on practical skills and real-world applications.
Outside the classroom, Galgotias University offers extracurricular activities. From cultural festivals to sports competitions, there is a wide range of opportunities available for students to make the most of during their time at the university.
