Ferhat Abbas Sétif1 University is one of the Important Algerian universities. It is located in the dynamic city of Sétif, in the eastern high lands of Algeria. Founded in 1978 in a spirit of innovation and constant quest for quality and excellence, it has become a major actor for the socioeconomic development of the Sétif region. Since 1992, the University of Sétif bears the name of the illustrious Ferhat ABBAS, as well-known figure of the national movement and first President of the Provisional Government of the Algerian Republic (1958). In 2011, the University of Sétif was divided into two universities Sétif 1 and Sétif 2. The first one is dedicated to exact sciences, life sciences and technology while the second university is devoted to humanities, languages, and law. Today, Sétif 1 University offers dozens of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. In addition, it provides doctoral programs in several disciplines covering a wide range of subjects, mainly economic sciences, engineering, life and health sciences… Sétif 1 University has more than 37,000 students spread over three campuses divided into 5 Faculties and 3 Institutions: Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Economics, Commercial and Management Sciences, Institute of Architecture and Earth Sciences, Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanic and Institute of Materials Science and Techniques. Sétif 1 University also has 46 laboratories and a research unit. Regarding Visibility, Sétif 1 University is the Algerian leader in the most important rankings such as “Times Higher Education – university Rankings”. Better still, it is the first Algerian and North African university to join the world’s top 500 of the THE Ranking. Sétif 1 University campuses are not only places of study but also spaces for living, exchanges and conviviality. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design processes, from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to uncover insights that inform design decisions Produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes. Support the design and development of physical products from early concept through to final production Present designs to customers, develop and iterate designs through sketches, prototypes, renderings and communicate with stakeholders. Work on projects that spread across product development, print, packaging, video storytelling, brand identity, and interactive projects for screens, devices, and space. Build physical and digital models and prototypes to explore and validate design directions. Align with proposed design direction and bring in the voice and emotion to the project through thoughtful features and initiatives. Bring both a strategic eye and a depth of craft in brand and communications design to the project teams. Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UI/UX research methodologies and instil inspiration into the organization and our partners. Assist in creating prototypes of different levels of fidelity to help enhance the design direction for a project. Applied Research and Innovation Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial design or UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Interactive Design or related field. Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals A collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback Experience working within agile or iterative product development environments is a plus Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 Familiarity with rendering tools such as KeyShot, Blender, or similarAbility to spark ideas and generate fresh concepts and inspire peers. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop new herbicide compounds focusing on synthesis and characterizations of HPPD inhibitor herbicides. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. i. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: ii. Design and synthesize novel HPPD inhibitor compounds iii. Conduct laboratory experiments for the synthesis of target compounds, including purification and characterization using techniques such as NMR, MS, FTIR, GC and HPLC Optimize synthetic routes and troubleshoot any challenges encountered during synthesis Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. (game engine software engineer) Perform testing Perform documentation and optionally publishing paper to international conferences/journals.
