Federal University Otuoke

The Federal University in Otuoke is a small university in Nigeria, 21 kilometres south of the state capital of Yenagoa. It was established in 2011 by the Federal Government of Nigeria, as part of an initiative to set up universities in areas where they were lacking.

The university offers courses in basic medical sciences, education, engineering, humanities, management sciences, medical laboratory science, nursing sciences, law, science, social sciences, and continuing education.

The campus occupies a site of 500 acres, and there is hostel accommodation available. This is not guaranteed for all students, but international students are one of the priority categories. There is not, however, a clearly available application process advertised for international students, and the general profile of the student population appears to be more from the local area.
