The Academy is seeking a distinguished music educator and outstanding conductor for the position of Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Conducting. Responsibilities: Rehearse and lead the instrumental or choral ensembles; Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in conducting and related areas; Develop networks with regional and international partners for research, performance and recruitment activities; and Collaborate across disciplines within the Academy and with colleagues across the University to further develop the Academy’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, teaching and knowledge transfer. Requirements: A doctoral degree in music or equivalent professional conducting experience; and Collegiate-level teaching and relevant professional experience. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Our Case Managers work from person-centred and trauma informed practice frameworks, ensuring students are treated with dignity and respect and receive transparent and confidential services to empower them to make choices and connect with others. The team is responsible for the coordinated response to student disclosures of sexual misconduct and other harmful behaviours as well as supporting the university response to student critical incidents. Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students feel heard, respected, and empowered to thrive. The Person You will hold relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling, and have undertaken formal training and/or experience in supporting people affected by gender-based violence or willingness to undertake further training. Ideally, you bring experience leading a team of practitioners who support individuals affected by harmful behaviours, including sexual misconduct, gender-based violence, and who present with complex and sensitive needs.
