About Fairleigh Dickinson University, Vancouver Campus

Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) is a private university with its main campus in New Jersey in the US. The university, which was established in 1942, also has a campus in Vancouver which offers undergraduate and graduate students the chance to get an American college degree while studying in Canada.

The Vancouver campus opened in 2007 and is located in the district of Yaletown, near the Vancouver Public Library.

Students at the FDU Vancouver campus can choose to study accredited professional undergraduate degree programmes with majors in business administration, information technology or hospitality and tourism management. There are also master's degree programmes in administrative science or hospitality management studies.

It also runs a pre-university programme for students who meet the university’s admission standards but require additional training in speaking and/or writing English at an academic level. It provides one semester of advanced academic English-language training.

The university prefers to teach in small class sizes to facilitate working relations between students, faculty and staff.

In addition to the Vancouver campus and two New Jersey campuses, the university owns and operates a campus in Wroxton, England, which was established in 1965.

FDU also hosts an online platform which enables students from all over the world to obtain a Fairleigh Dickinson University education. Online students may choose from a selection of 24 online degrees and certificate programmes at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
