Working in alignment with the University's research strategy, the appointee will undertake innovative, high-impact research in bionanotechnology and regenerative medicine. This nationally recognised program aims to advance fundamental understanding and translational applications within the discipline. Funded by the Australian Research Council Discovery Project, "Understanding Transient Cellular Response to Electrical Stimulation (DP250101190)," the role will focus on developing cutting-edge methodologies to investigate live cell responses to electrical stimulation with high spatial and temporal resolution. The Research Fellow will design and implement advanced bioinformatics pipelines to interrogate stem cell biology using multi-omics approaches, including RNA sequencing, proteomics, and secretomics datasets. Responsibilities include integrative analysis of complex molecular data, interpretation of cellular response mechanisms, and close collaboration with experimental researchers to uncover pathways regulating stem cell function and fate. The successful candidate will be supported to build an independent research profile through structured mentorship in competitive grant writing and opportunities to contribute to, and lead, fellowship and project applications. They will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality research projects, establishing productive research networks within RMIT and with local and national partners, and producing impactful research outputs that strengthen the School's research excellence and reputation. We are looking for candidates with their knowledge and experience in the key focus areas: Essential Expertise in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, ideally working with human mesenchymal stromal/stem cells, and/or induced pluripotent stem cells. Expertise in bioinformatics, including RNA-sequencing, proteomics, secretomics, and pipeline development. Evidence of research outputs including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in the field. Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required. Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills. Preferable Experience in eukaryotic cell culture/tissue culture. Nanoscale characterisation expertise including Electron Microscopy and/or Atomic Force Microscopy. Electroactive biomaterial experience, including electrochemical characterisation and synthesis. Expertise with advanced graphing and/or data analysis software (Prism, Origin Pro, Matlab etc) Success in research funding and/or experience in grant development and writing. Your next career opportunity The Research Fellow in Mathematical Modelling of Multicellular Interfaces is expected to help develop models of interfaces within multicellular systems. These models will be part of a multicellular modelling and simulation framework being developed as part of the Australian Research Council's (ARC) Discovery Project "Bridging biological boundaries: modelling to explore the role of interfaces" awarded to Prof James Osborne (Melbourne), Prof Jennifer Flegg (Melbourne) and Dr Stuart Johnston (Melbourne) in collaboration with Dr Yohan Davit (CNRS, Toulouse) and Dr Sakia Feytag (WEHI, Melbourne). The Discovery Project addresses the critical knowledge gap in how "interfaces" - the boundaries between distinct cell populations or between cells and their environment - drive the development and function of complex biological systems. Within this project the Research Fellow will drive the development of the unified multicellular mathematical framework within the open-source Chaste library. The appointee will be a member of the Melbourne Mathematical Biology Group at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, reporting to Prof James Osborne. Visits to Toulouse (France) will be an important part of the project. SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CONTINUING AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION DIVISION (CPED) The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults.  It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands.  Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors.  The School is now looking for individuals with qualifications and experience to join its Continuing and Professional Education Division. Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in English (24250248) The appointee is required to (i) perform teaching duties in related disciplines; (ii) provide academic guidance to students; (iii) develop and manage courses/programmes; (iv) supervise projects; (v) coordinate with the part-time teaching staff; and (vi) assist in administrative work for the responsible programmes/courses such as promotion, admission interview, handling students’ enquiries and organising student activities. Applicants should possess a higher degree in the related discipline and relevant teaching experience.  Applicants must show dedication and strong commitment in teaching and education within and beyond the classroom.  They must also be a good team player with excellent communication skills.
