Eskisehir Teknik University, established in 2018, is a state technical university in Turkey. The university is the only one of its kind in Turkey to provide pilot training by the state.

As its name suggests, the university is located in Eskisehir, a city in northwestern Turkey.

There are five faculties at the university: faculty of science, faculty of engineering, faculty of sport sciences, faculty of architecture and design, and the faculty of aeronautics and astronautics. Within each faculty are a number of departments offering a range of bachelor’s degree programmes.

For students looking to continue their education and specialise in a particular area of studies, there is the graduate school of sciences. The graduate school consists of various departments, which offer courses at both master’s and doctoral level.

The university is also home to two vocational schools, the Porsuk Vocational School and the Vocational School of Transportation. The Transportation School is divided into three departments: management and organisation, motor vehicles and transportation tech, and transportation services.

In 2007, the university opened the world’s first licensed university airport, the Hasan Polatkan Airport. The airport operates within the faculty of aeronautics and astronautics and provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience.

Description The Sustainable and Innovative Transport Demand (SIT-D) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a postdoctoral associate to conduct studies on the use of Immersive Virtual Reality to elicit users’ preferences for innovative transport systems. Research in the SIT-D lab focuses on understanding and modelling consumers' behavior and decision process for sustainable transport modes and transport innovations. The Faculty of Social Sciences invites applications for the position of PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / OF ANTHROPOLOGY  The successful applicant may be appointed to a permanent professorship or a fixed-term associate/assistant professorship (tenure track system), depending on his/her qualifications and career stage. Social and Cultural Anthropology at UH has a strong research environment for political economy, ethics and morality, cognitive anthropology, environment and sustainability, location and borders, and linguistic anthropology. Thematic specialisation for this position is open, but we are particularly interested in candidates specialising in political and environmental questions. Anthropology at UH is known for its diverse regional expertise and emphasis on ethnographic research. We are looking for candidates with strong regional expertise grounded in extensive ethnographic research. $115,303 - $136,925 p.a. pro rata for part-time + 17% Superannuation
