About the Role As we kick-start the 2026 academic year in our brand new iconic, state of the art Healthcare Simulation Laboratories located in the convenient Adelaide CBD, we are looking for a Senior Technical Officer (Team Leader) to lead a team of passionate technical officers. In this role, will lead the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Laboratories, ensuring the smooth delivery of simulation-based learning across programs. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate team activities, allocate workloads, and work collaboratively with other Team Leaders and the Senior Manager – Healthcare Simulation across campuses to manage staffing, rostering, stock control and operational needs. The Senior Technical Officer (Team Leader) will also be responsible for planning and preparing laboratory environments for clinical simulation workshops in line with course requirements, working closely with academic staff, and laboratory teams. The role will provide expert technical support, including demonstrating simulation equipment, procedures, and techniques to ensure safe and effective learning experiences for students. The role also involves overseeing the quality and readiness of clinical laboratory setups, maintaining a strong student-centred focus which makes a significant contribution to the University’s strategic plan to changing 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035 and aligns to Strategic Driver of Students First. During intensives, the incumbent will be expected to work a variety of shifts within a set roster, ranging from 7:30am – 3:30pm, 8:00am – 4pm and 12:30 – 8:30pm, with the occasional shift ending at 10:00pm. About You You contribute effectively within a team environment and step into a functional supervisory role when required.
