Elsewedy University of Technology

Elsewedy University of Technology is a private higher education institution in Egypt specialising in applied technological education. It was established in 2023 by presidential decree as part of a national initiative to expand technical and vocational higher education and to align academic training with the needs of modern industry. 

Developed by Elsewedy Education, an arm of Elsewedy Electric, the university reflects a growing emphasis on practical, industry-focused learning within Egypt’s higher education system.

The university is located in the 10th of Ramadan City in Sharqia Governorate, along the Cairo–Ismailia Desert Road, within one of Egypt’s key emerging industrial zones. Its purpose-built campus spans approximately 21 acres and features modern lecture halls, specialised labs, and training workshops designed to support hands-on learning in engineering and computing. The location provides direct connections to industrial partners.

The university is comprised of two schools: the School of Engineering Technology and the School of Arts and Design technology. Within these schools are different departments offering more than 19 specialised programs across engineering technology, design, information sciences, and advanced technology disciplines, all developed to meet evolving global and local market demands.

The university follows a polytechnic educational model, with a strong emphasis on prioritising hands-on learning and practical skill development alongside theoretical knowledge.
