Job Description: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to New Uzbekistan University as an Assistant/Associate/Visiting Professor in Physics. In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of physicists, conducting cutting-edge research, and contributing to the advancement of the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, conducting research, and collaborating with peers and industry partners to foster innovation to become a driver of innovative development in Uzbekistan. Requirements from candidates: Ph.D. degree from a reputed University in Physics or a closely related field; Teaching and research experience for the Full-time Professor rank, at least 10 years; Associate Professor rank, at least 5 years; Assistant Professor rank, at least 1 year International track record of research and professional achievements; Excellent record in teaching/overseeing undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs; Expertise in one or more specialized areas of Physics, such as astrophysics, quantum physics, solid state physics, nuclear physics, or related areas. About the role This position provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious administrator to create and shape the supporting infrastructure for a UK-wide, multi-partner network.  This will be a busy role with a varied range of operational tasks and responsibilities including event organisation, budget management, stakeholder engagement and running communication platforms.  FoldNetUK is led by Professor André Cobb at King’s College London, Professor Scott Cockroft at the University of Edinburgh, Dr Sarah Pike at the University of Birmingham, and Professor Steve Cobb at the University of Durham. FoldNetUK is focused on promoting the design, development and application of foldamers towards biology, catalysis and materials. Its primary aim is to bring together interdisciplinary and diverse expertise synergistically to generate new areas of research with foldamer research. A chief ambition is to reach out to other disciplines who could benefit from the use of foldamers in their research. This interdisciplinary research will be seeded though several activities, such as annual meetings, workshops, and inter-lab visits as well as a strong focus on Early Career Researchers.  This is a part time post (17.5 hours per week), and you will be offered an a fixed term contract until 31/01/2028 with the possibility of extension. Description The Mathematics Program in the Science Division, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on one or more of the following topics: Mathematical Physics, Spectral Theory, Quantum Chaos, Large Graphs and Quantum Walks. Related areas such as Quantum Information can also be considered. This position is offered through the research funds of Mostafa Sabri. The Mathematics Program at NYUAD is quickly expanding, the candidate will find many international experts and postdocs with whom to interact. Weekly seminars are in place across the various research areas represented at NYUAD. The successful applicant will also receive a mobility credit to participate in conferences. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, with a strong background in one of the advertised topics, as well as an excellent academic record. Candidates with PhDs in Physics or Computer Science may also be considered if they willing to collaborate with mathematicians on these topics. For consideration, applicants need to submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae with a full publication list, a research statement, a transcript, and at least two letters of reference, all in PDF format. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed twice. In the first interview, the candidate will give a talk summarizing earlier research.
