About the Job The role will involve leading and managing the Department of Psychology and Human Development, delivering excellence across the full portfolio of academic programmes and activities, within the context of the operational and strategic development of the School, and in support of the achievement of the School’s KPIs and UEL’s Vision 2028. As Head of Department, you will be part of the School’s Executive Team. You will work closely with our Director of Education and Experience, Director of Impact and Innovation, Director of Career and Enterprise, Marketing Officer, EDI Lead, and School Quality Leaders, as well as with the Vice Dean and Executive Dean of School, to create an outstanding student experience within an impactful research environment. We are undertaking a technical revamp of our website and are looking for a technical test engineer to join us to help with the transformation. This is an exciting time to be joining the University of Southampton as we are looking to rebuild, consolidate and rearchitect large parts of our sites to meet best practices for technical design, content and accessibility. About the Role This role will work across our website estate looking to ensure that as we consolidate platforms and improve technical debt, design and reliability we have a fully formed suite of tests. We are looking for someone with a wide range of testing skills from Linux and cloud platforms experience through to frontend and dedicated Drupal and PHP testing. If you have any or all of these then this role may be for you.
