The successful candidate will demonstrate clear evidence of their capability to teach digital marketing analytics, social media marketing, web analytics, and marketing research across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Industry experience, particularly in marketing-oriented roles with either MNCs or SMEs, is desirable. They will be expected to play an active role in leading and developing taught programmes, characterised by contemporary academic and commercial content that utilises thoughtful pedagogic approaches to learning and the wider student experience. Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY With offers for BSc (Hons) in Biochemical and Testing Sciences, MSc in Analytical Chemistry, MPhil (by research), and PhD degrees, the Department has around 140 undergraduate students, 70 taught postgraduate students and 100 research students and project staff. The Department places great emphasis on the quality of education and the excellence of its scholarly research/services. It has reached a significant milestone, where its educational programmes are not only innovative but also accessible, and its major areas of research strength are well recognised and supported. It is inviting applications for the following position: Research Assistant Professor (25260457) Responsibilities: Initially, the appointee will work closely with Professor David Parker FRS, Chair Professor in Chemistry (https://chem.hkbu.edu.hk/davidparker) to conduct high-quality research, and showcase original research accomplishments that have the potential to allow them to develop an internationally leading profile in chemical science. The appointee will supervise MPhil and PhD students, engaging in various scholarly activities, including gaining experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Requirements: Applicants must possess a PhD degree with post-doctoral experience in organic or inorganic chemistry or a closely related field from a reputable university/institution. They should have research experience in Chemical Science (broadly defined to embrace synthetic chemistry in supramolecular science/chemical probes/physical organic chemistry/chirality/NMR/coordination chemistry), preferably with an impressive publication record in peer-reviewed international journals. Prior experience in teaching and mentoring research students is desirable. Preference will be given to younger candidates who have worked in internationally recognised groups.  An initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. In this role, will lead the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Laboratories, ensuring the smooth delivery of simulation-based learning across programs. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate team activities, allocate workloads, and work collaboratively with other Team Leaders and the Senior Manager – Healthcare Simulation across campuses to manage staffing, rostering, stock control and operational needs. The Senior Technical Officer (Team Leader) will also be responsible for planning and preparing laboratory environments for clinical simulation workshops in line with course requirements, working closely with academic staff, and laboratory teams. The role will provide expert technical support, including demonstrating simulation equipment, procedures, and techniques to ensure safe and effective learning experiences for students. The role also involves overseeing the quality and readiness of clinical laboratory setups, maintaining a strong student-centred focus which makes a significant contribution to the University’s strategic plan to changing 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035 and aligns to Strategic Driver of Students First. During intensives, the incumbent will be expected to work a variety of shifts within a set roster, ranging from 7:30am – 3:30pm, 8:00am – 4pm and 12:30 – 8:30pm, with the occasional shift ending at 10:00pm. About You You contribute effectively within a team environment and step into a functional supervisory role when required. You communicate confidently and professionally, with strong interpersonal and oral communication skills that enable you to provide clear information and advice to a diverse range of staff and give practical guidance to students. Job Description SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE Multiple Senior Research Assistant positions are available in the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development, which is located in the Hong Kong Science Park. CENTRE FOR CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE DRUG DEVELOPMENT Funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the Hong Kong Government, the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development Limited (the Centre) was established in September 2020 to accelerate the development of Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM)-based drugs and serve as a strategic platform to promote collaborations among local and international researchers, institutions and industry. The Centre aims to achieve the goal by enhancing the quality of pre-clinical and clinical CHM research and transforming the results into pharmaceutical products for international markets. In particular, the Centre develops treatments and cures for diseases such as ulcerative colitis and chronic constipation. It also supports the incubation of new CHM-based pharmaceutical start-ups that will target the global market, and nurtures talent for CHM research in Hong Kong. Senior Research Assistants in Chinese medicine research (24250237) The appointees will participate in preclinical research projects relating to cutting-edge new drug development based on Chinese herbal medicine. Responsibilities: Research and compilation of literature on classic traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions; Research on modern preparation processes and quality control criteria for classic chinese herbal formulas; Contribute to general laboratory operations, including the maintenance of cell culture and animals; Preparation and publication of research articles; and Undertake any other duties as assigned. Requirements: Hold a master's degree in chinese pharmacy, pharmacy, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical preparation, or other related disciplines; Proficient in extraction, purification, and qualitative/quantitative analysis techniques of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine; Familiar with cellular/molecular biology techniques; An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and Passionate about scientific research, self-motivated, with independent research capabilities and strong teamwork spirit.
