Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM)-Keele Joint Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, founded in 2023, is a collaboration between Keele University - renowned for its top-ranked medical programmes in England and CDUTCM - a leading “Double First-Class” institution in China. We invite passionate educators to join our BSc (Hons) Public Health Management programme. The degree equips students with transferable skills that go beyond public health practice, covering Health Enterprise Management, Epidemiology and its application to Improving Public Health, the Biological and Environmental Determinants of Public Health and Health Protection among others. Our students gain expertise to tackle modern health challenges. Keele’s academic leadership ensures rigorous standards and exceptional teaching quality; faculty are expected to uphold excellence in pedagogy, student engagement and research. We have multiple positions at various seniority levels for passionate academics to join our BSc (Hons) Public Health Management programme. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, innovative teaching (up to 20 class periods weekly) and provide at least 6 class periods weekly as office hours that inspires and engages students, using diverse methods and technologies aligned with Keele's and CDUTCM academic standards. Provide comprehensive academic support and mentorship, fostering student success and personal development throughout their learning and research journey. Undertake core academic duties and build research profile. Supervise undergraduate research projects and guide students in developing critical thinking and research skills. Contribute actively to professional development, performance reviews, and collaborative initiatives that enhance the institute’s academic environment. Uphold excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly engagement to maintain the highest standards of education and research. Selection Criteria PhD in Public Health Management, Epidemiology or closely related field (substantial professional experience considered as an alternative). Ideally minimum 2 years’ higher education teaching experience; teaching certification or relevant professional credentials is essential. Emerging or established research profile (publications, attracting external research funding, supervision of undergraduate or master students). Research Fellow / Engineer (Electronics & Radio Frequency) - CNT1

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry funded research project where you will be part of the research team to develop advanced Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance (NQR) scanning technologies. Job Responsibilities Participate in research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.  Undertake these responsibilities in the project:  i. Conduct comprehensive literature review on NQR technology, including design approaches, scanning methods, signal processing techniques, and comparison with alternative detection technologies. ii. Support design and development of NQR prototype, including system architecture, component selection, and experimental setup. iii. Conduct lab and site tests to evaluate the performance of NQR prototype. iv. Generate design documents and test documents at every stage of development until the final prototype. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.  Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Job Requirements Has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics; Specialization in RF/Microwave or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is preferred. Has solid knowledge of electronics, including circuit design, PCB layout, and hardware troubleshooting. Has relevant competence in the areas of Radio Frequency design and measurement; Familiarity with high-power amplifier systems is a plus. Has relevant experience in the areas of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design and implementation is a plus. Experience in electromagnetic simulation using CST Studio Suite and circuit simulation with PSpice, LTspice, or equivalent is an advantage. Experience with developing software for instrument control and data acquisition using LabVIEW is helpful. Key Competencies Strong experimental skills and theoretical knowledge in electronic circuits, and RF or DSP design, with the ability to apply hands-on prototyping and system development. Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with people within and external to the university. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver on a research project to develop an End-to-end misinformation and disinformation protection, awareness and mitigation pipeline. We will be recruiting a research engineers or fellows, as part of a wider project, to conduct research on: Signal processing combined with AI-based modification on speech signals. The need is for a real-time system, so efficient coding is important. Key Responsibilities: Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) Ian McLoughlin, Co-PI Tong Rong and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.  Undertake research within your domain, including keeping track of state-of-the-art work. Have a degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will definitely be advantageous. Knowledge of machine learning, pytorch, huggingface etc... Knowledge of speech, audio, time-series or signal processing is required. Ability to effectively and efficiently utilise industry-standard Linux-based computers for AI. Experience of authoring good quality academic publications. Manage undergraduate research assistants (if appropriate). Liaise with customers and collaborators in A*STAR and NTU, as well as collaborators in the UK and China.
