Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Hydraulique (ENSH) is a public higher education institution that was established in 1972 as an Institute of Hydrotechnics. In 2008, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research transformed it into a non-university school.
The school is located in Blida, a city in northern Algeria. 
Academically, the school is comprised of four faculties: the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering, Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Hydroelectric Engineering, and the Faculty of Irrigation Engineering. Within each faculty are different departments offering a range of degree programmes at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level.
There is also the Faculty of Research and Innovation which is committed to advancing the frontiers of hydraulic engineering knowledge. The role

The post will be based in the Department of Sociology, a lively and collegiate department with a strong emphasis on both teaching and research. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong research background (i.e. publishing, applying for/achieving funding), as well as document evidence of teaching in areas of criminology, including specialisms within digital crime. The post will also involve supervising dissertations, supervising placement students, and contributing to the pastoral care of students. About you

We are looking for candidates with a relevant doctoral degree awarded, with a strong research and teaching background. Evidence of publishing high-quality publications and delivering teaching (ideally with relevance to criminology, specifically digital crime) are key criteria for candidates to demonstrate. 

You must be able and willing to teach modules across the Department (in both Criminology and Sociology) and undertake key student support and relevant pastoral duties as well as other administrative duties.

Please note that these roles will be offered at either Lecturer A or Lecturer B depending on your experience (see job profile below for further details). The salary range for a Lecturer A (Research and Teaching) starts at £42,254 and Lecturer B starts at £47,389.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Physics Laboratory Manager to lead the safe and effective operation of our radiation teaching laboratory, which has recently been refurbished as part of a £2.7M project providing state-of-the-art facilities. This is a varied and technically engaging role that combines laboratory management, radiation safety leadership, and support for both teaching and research activities.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will play a central role in ensuring that all laboratory operations comply with current regulations, while delivering an excellent environment for undergraduate and postgraduate learning.

Although your major responsibility will be to manage the radiation teaching laboratory and source stores, you may also be required to undertake experimental procedures in other Physics laboratories to support teaching and research activities.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Management and Radiation Safety


	Lead the day-to-day management of the radiation teaching laboratory, ensuring safe and compliant operations at all times.
	Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS), maintaining compliance with ionising radiation regulations and best practice.
	Develop and implement risk assessments, justifications, protocols and contingency plans for laboratory activities.
	Oversee the secure storage, tracking, and record keeping of radioactive sources and nuclear materials.
	Manage ordering, issuing, receiving, and disposal processes in line with relevant legislation (including IRR17).
	Support regulatory inspections and ensure audit readiness at all times.


Teaching and Student Support


	Provide technical support for undergraduate and postgraduate laboratory classes.
	Train and supervise students in the safe use of equipment and experimental techniques.
	Deliver inductions, technical advice, and ongoing support for undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.


Equipment and Technical Expertise


	Maintain and repair laboratory equipment.
	Ensure laboratories are fully operational and prepared for teaching and research use.
	Provide specialist technical advice and problem-solving expertise to staff and students.

You should:


	Have good communication skills and be able to deliver a high level of customer care.

Your Responsibility

Your key responsibilities include:


	To formulate and articulate research objectives, alongside developing proposals for both individual and collaborative projects, utilizing established methodologies and techniques to execute research effectively within the specified area;
	To analyze data meticulously, interpret findings, evaluate scholarly texts, and contribute innovative insights, while adhering to project deadlines and collaborating seamlessly with team members and partners;

About You

His research interests focus on digital supply chain management, platform competition, and digital health. Findings from his research have appeared in leading journals such as MIS Quarterly (MISQ), Journal of Operations Management (JOM), Journal of Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS), and Journal of Association for Information Systems (JAIS), among others. Dr. Cai serves as the Managing Editor of Industrial Management & Data Systems (IMDS) and an Associate Editor for Internet Research (IR). Additionally, he has served as a Track Chair for the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), a Mini-track Chair of the Americas' Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and an Associate Editor for the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and the European Conference of Information Systems (ECIS). Dr. Huiming Song joined UNNC to work in accounting and Finance department in March 2016. Before joining UNNC, she have accumulated more than 14 years’ work experience in accounting and finance sector. This includes 7 years in Ireland, where Dr Song had worked in the accounting firm (Moore Stephens international, Dublin office), as a supervisor in their corporate finance department. After that, Dr Song joined bank of New York Mellon, Dublin office, working as a manager in the financial reporting department of Mutual fund. In year 2009, she returned to China and started my first CFO role in a Sino-USA joint venture based in Ningbo, after that she joined Alibaba global headquarter in Hangzhou, as a director in charge of the overseas and domestic M&As and post M&A integration and Financial reporting. This experience promoted her to start financial advisory career, she set up an international business department in BDO, specialize in assisting Chinese enterprises to do cross-border M&As and listing in overseas stock exchange. The above experience promoted me to do my current research on Chinese enterprises’ post Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisition integration. About the Project. This longitudinal project investigates the implementation of AI-empowered chronic disease management systems in hospitals. It examines human-AI collaboration and the "boundaries of work" between humans and algorithms across four key stakeholder groups: frontline healthcare workers, patients and family members, hospital administrators, and system developers. The project explores how clinical tasks are negotiated and delegated, addressing critical issues such as algorithmic trust, alert fatigue, professional autonomy, privacy concerns, and organizational integration. Adopting a mixed-methods approach with a strong emphasis on qualitative inquiry, the project combines in-depth interviews, ethnographic observation, and focus groups with longitudinal surveys and system log analysis. Notably, this project includes teaching case writing as a core component, with teaching cases to be developed and submitted to leading repositories, alongside journal publications in leading information systems or healthcare outlets.

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support

You will be offered a fixed term contract with University of Nottingham Ningbo China for 2 years. You will be offered a minimum annual salary package of RMB269,906 with competitive benefits package. Postdoctoral Research Fellow is also able to apply RMB50,000 research funding after they start their research.

The Faculty of Psychology consists of the Dean's office and the studies service center, as well as the Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology, the Department of Occupational, Economic and Social Psychology, the Department of Applied Psychology: Work, Education and Economy, the Department of Development and Educational Psychology, the Outpatient Unit for Research, Teaching and Practice. Your personal sphere of influence:

As a university assistant prae doc, you will join the Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology. The Department consists of approximately 100 staff members organized in eight research units with fMRI, EEG, fNIRS, VR, eye-tracking, physiology, and brain stimulation facilities. The interdisciplinary Methods of Psychology team currently consists of several post-doctoral and PhD students with backgrounds in psychology, life science, neuroscience, computer science, engineering, and physics. The focus of our research is to develop new neurotechnologies and AI tools to better understand psychological phenomena and to advance experimental therapies for debilitating psychiatric and neurological disorders.

Your future tasks:

As a new member of our team, you will actively contribute to research, teaching, and administrative activities. This includes:


	Participation in research projects and scientific studies focused on the application of computational methods such as machine learning and large language models to psychological domains, with a particular emphasis on anxiety disorders.
	Finalizing your dissertation agreement within 12–18 months.
	Working on and completing your doctoral dissertation.
	Attending the Vienna Doctoral School in Cognition, Behaviour and Neuroscience (VDS CoBeNe).

This is part of your personality:

Candidates should hold an excellent university degree in psychology. Strong computational skills are required, particularly in Python (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn), R (Tidyverse, data.table, caret), JASP, jamovi, and SQL.

Additional experience with Bash, and Git is advantageous. Fluency in both English and German is required.

For this position, we are seeking applicants with a strong interest in applying computational methods - such as machine learning (specifically LightGBM and XGBoost), language processing (LLM and NLP), and statistics - to research on anxiety disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting and analyzing behavioral experiments, setting up online experiments, performing statistical analyses - including data processing and validation - and running computational simulations. Prior teaching experience in statistics, probability, research methodology, and machine learning (in Python and R) is an advantage. Experience in developing and writing grant applications is also desirable.
